Boeser, maybe more than any other Canuck, may take less than market value to stay. Which is an odd thing for a guy who was given permission (and thus must have asked for it) to shop for a trade barely more than a year ago. But I would think what he'd want in return for a team friendly deal is a NTC. (And while this group rightfully doesn't include those like Sweetwater includes candy, with Boeser, it should be a consideration because I think the future Brock waives if its not working out).

Agreed. Boeser strikes me as a guy who considers the non-monetary aspects. He knows what he has here, and as they say: You don’t fuck with happy. He’ll sign at reasonable money.

Big offseason coming up - should be fun to watch. I’d try and sign a few of the UFAs to below market deals and see if they accept. Myers almost certainly will, doubt Z, Dakota or Lindholm would though. That’s fine as they are all replaceable.

Sign Hronek long term at somewhere around $7 million. I wouldn’t go higher than that but he is a good fit with Quinn.

Try to trade Mikheyev even if you need to retain cash. He’s lost a step and that’s not easy to get back at 29 especially when that was your only superpower. If you can’t trade him no big deal, let’s see if he can be better next year. I don’t think it will be nearly as difficult to move money this year though with the cap going up.

Looks like there will be about $20-$21 million leftover once Myers and Silovs are re-signed. Put about $10 million into 2 wingers - preferably guys with a bit of speed, goal scoring and grit - easy to find I know! The other $10 million goes into the D. That’s either Hronek or a new RHD for Quinn, plus a guy for the 3rd pairing to play with Juulsen or another cheap guy they bring in. I like Brenden Dillon but he’s not the only one.

Whatever they do I trust Allvin, he’ll make this team better next year.
