Muzac For Munsters

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

You might be mixing Supertramp in there.
Donny, you’re worse than my wife when it comes to correcting my old man writings. I think you get what I’m putting down.
Lol....just adding the right name to the discussion for the group man.

No criticism intended.

I have another Ray at The Vogue story but it seems my first one had limited impact so perhaps not for now....

The movie Weapons gave Harrison’s song Beware of Darkness new life. Hearing it in that backdrop made the tune even better.

Here’s where it was played in the movie, couldn’t picked a better song for this scene

So I dropped a bit of acid back in the day, always enjoyed it and never had a bad experience (other than one time we thought walking through the graveyard in the BP's at midnight would be a good idea - it was not) so this must have been a trip and a half for Grace and the band.

If you watch closely you can see she and the group are into the vibe of the high (a little smirk from lead guitar Jorma Kaukonen & bassist Jack Casady is right into the groove while Grace exhales noticeably before she grabs the mike and her lyrical enunciation is a one time only thing for that song...her little wooh at the end is cute as hell) and it is one of the more enjoyable White Rabbit performances I have ever seen.

Give me a wayback machine...one of my stops is Woodstock '69.

I'd heard the story before, but not watched the clip in that context. Fun times. :)

Here's a later live version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlr2c-G8Bag

I'll assume that drugs were still in the picture.

Acid - same here, nothing but fun. the only drug I miss, but would not do again.

Thanks Corn....never seen that before....yeah...lol.....drugs miiighht just still be in play there.

Grace quite a bit chunkier and has a bit of a Charles Manson vibe happening in a couple of spots during that rendition.

I think it was brought up a while back, but I'm finally getting around to watching the Beatles Anthology series this week.

I know most of their story, but there's still a ton of "from the horses mouth" info that makes it fascinating.

George was always my favourite Beatle.

Probably would have had even more songs if he wasn't suppressed early on by Lennon/McCartney.

His works at the end of the Beatles and his solo material speak for themselves.

I guess that he also felt he had to up his game, so that would have helped. Plus, just absorbing the Lennon/Mac talent would help.

More McCartney than Lennon in reality.

Watch Peter Jackson's bio on the group.

Harrison and his comments in song writing I posted 5 or 6 above this one up there ^^^^^^.......
