Yup, and resigning Boeser will be cheaper than finding an equivalent top-6 RW on the UFA market (or via trade for that matter),
Boeser, maybe more than any other Canuck, may take less than market value to stay. Which is an odd thing for a guy who was given permission (and thus must have asked for it) to shop for a trade barely more than a year ago. But I would think what he'd want in return for a team friendly deal is a NTC. (And while this group rightfully doesn't include those like Sweetwater includes candy, with Boeser, it should be a consideration because I think the future Brock waives if its not working out).
Agreed. Boeser strikes me as a guy who considers the non-monetary aspects. He knows what he has here, and as they say: You don’t fuck with happy. He’ll sign at reasonable money.

Big offseason coming up - should be fun to watch. I’d try and sign a few of the UFAs to below market deals and see if they accept. Myers almost certainly will, doubt Z, Dakota or Lindholm would though. That’s fine as they are all replaceable.
Sign Hronek long term at somewhere around $7 million. I wouldn’t go higher than that but he is a good fit with Quinn.
Try to trade Mikheyev even if you need to retain cash. He’s lost a step and that’s not easy to get back at 29 especially when that was your only superpower. If you can’t trade him no big deal, let’s see if he can be better next year. I don’t think it will be nearly as difficult to move money this year though with the cap going up.
Looks like there will be about $20-$21 million leftover once Myers and Silovs are re-signed. Put about $10 million into 2 wingers - preferably guys with a bit of speed, goal scoring and grit - easy to find I know! The other $10 million goes into the D. That’s either Hronek or a new RHD for Quinn, plus a guy for the 3rd pairing to play with Juulsen or another cheap guy they bring in. I like Brenden Dillon but he’s not the only one.
Whatever they do I trust Allvin, he’ll make this team better next year.
Nice post, I agree with all of it.
Don't be such a stranger Diehard.
Hey Strange, nice to hear from you - I'll try to be around a bit more but fortunately lots going on and hard to find the time! I actually lost my login info and couldn't seem to reset it but it seems to be working now, maybe because the site moved to a new server?
Anyway, I'm pretty excited for this offseason so let's see what the team can do.

You have definitely been missed, your name has been brought up many times over the last few years.
Peace!

Dropped off my kid at school today, one of her classmate's grandmother asked me if I was cheering for the oil in the Finals. I replied "never."

My neighbour/pal was born and raised in Alberta.
He is pissed at me for refusing to get on his Oiler bandwagon.
We watch sports together fairly often, but won't be watching any of the STF together this year.

Oxymoronic.
Counterintuitive.
Nonsensical.

"
The Renowned insider Darren Dreger updated on the sage and revealed that, without surprise, half the league had shown their interest. Per his intel, the Habs, Bruins and the Predators were in the race. Dreger also added that if a deal were to occur, the Canes would be looking to add a top-3 or top-4 defenceman, hopefully in a one-for-one trade..."

Fried person saying they're having trouble finding common ground.
Which, when added to $5.93, gets you a non-fat latte at Starbucks.

I would say 'No' too. Canucks have traded away too many 1st lately, need those picks to keep the cupboard somewhat full. Also, who replaces Hronek as top 4 RD? Is there anyone in the UFA market that could replace him and not come at a stupid price tag?
