Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Anybody watched any of the World Series?
I think America is going to win it again.

You should be relatively happy it's a small market team this year.
And a first time champion.
Actually a bit surprised the Ray's aren't putting up more of a fight.
See what happens if they win tonight.
To answer your query though...no, not watching.

I'm thrilled that it ain't the likes of the Yanks or the C-Dodgers buying the championship again.
Gotta root for the small-town Brewers.
Yeah, haven't watched a lick of playoff basebrawl...

The Brew Crew pulls it off!
Love it when the small-market team wins.

Brew crew was by far the best team in baseball this year and deserved the WS title!
Awesome to see a Rays/Brewers final. Pitching wins championships yet again.
Best logo in baseball as well.

Their players association must be doing cart wheels as they prepare for upcoming labour negotiations with owners who are seeking a hard salary cap...
The Rays $116 Millon payroll knocked off the Yankees $342 payroll to get to the World Series while the Brewers at $155 Million knocked off the Doders and their $431 Million payroll....
Or looking it another way, the combined payrolls for the Brewers and the Rays was $271 M which is $502 M less than the combined payroll of the Dodgers and Yankees...
Will be interesting to see how their labour negotiations play out...

Re: Other Sports....non hockey
For interests sake...
The average payroll of the last 10 WS winners is 234 million.
Take out the 24 & 25 Dodger teams and the average payroll for the other 8 is 157 million with the highest in that group being the 23 Rangers and 18 Red Sox both at around 240 million.
The 8 winners, outside of the Dodgers 2 wins, payroll value averages out at 10th in MLB over that period with the 18 Red Sox 1st that year and the 17 Astros 19th.
This years Brewers were 19th.
The Yankees last WS win was 2009.
Their average payroll since then has been somewhere around 250 million per.

Don't follow baseball, but seeing a small market team win (and knowing a big fan of theirs) is always a bonus.
