He can experience a double blow, but only have to cough up a single fare to send them home on the bus.

I'm shocked that someone with a PhD in molecular biology could be so completely wrong!
Female birds have ZW and male birds have ZZ, just as an example.
But sure, the XY system is almost universal in mammals, there are just a handful of exceptions.
Yet most people would consider an XY individual with complete androgen insensitivity a female.
I mean, they have breasts and a vagina. Sure, there is no uterus, and on closer inspection in the place the ovaries should be they have internal testes.
But they look like girls, identify as girls, are raised as girls and usually think they are completely female till some doctor suggests otherwise.
This happens in roughly in in 50,000 births, so in a city of one million people, statistically you have 20 girls like this, who have XY chromosomes.

Scientifically speaking, a trans individual is still their original chromosomal self.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Well, the girls in those videos were born that way. I wouldn't call them abnormal, but it is a pretty rare mutation.
Not extremely rare though, roughly one in 50,000. With 8 billion people in the world today, there are roughly 160,000 of these XY women.
And they never made a choice, this is how they were born. They are not trans. They are women with XY chromosomes.
They have historically always been considered women, until someone came up with a way to study chromosomes.
Then suddenly they started getting kicked out of sports, which is ridiculous. They have no advantage over other women. Sure, they have testosterone levels at a male level, but as their body cannot process testosterone it doesn’t help them build muscle or even grow body hair, which they typically lack. So it’s useless. It only sits around and then breaks down into oestrogen, which is why they develop breasts and other female features once they enter puberty. They don’t have a uterus, or ovaries, so they can’t have kids, but other than that they are just like other women, except that they don’t have to shave their legs. Or armpits. Or anything else.
They usually don’t even find out that they are different until their mid to late teens when they go to a gynecologist to find out why they still haven’t gotten their period. And then they are told something like ”well, it’s because you’re meant to be a dude” which can be rather devastating for someone who has never even considered that they are different from other girls.

Re: Just Not ready
Justin Trudeau opts for USMNT’s World Cup opener, not Canada’s
On a day that Canada and the United States both opened their campaigns at the FIFA World Cup, Justin Trudeau opted to watch Team USA.
Trudeau, the 54-year-old former prime minister of Canada, was in attendance for the U.S.’s game against Paraguay in Inglewood, Calif. on Friday night. He was not there to watch Canada battle back to earn a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto earlier in the day.
The reason for his decision is obvious. Trudeau’s girlfriend is Katy Perry, and the 41-year-old pop star performed in the opening ceremony before the U.S.-Paraguay match.
During the first half, Trudeau and Perry were seen sitting together in one of the luxury suites at SoFi Stadium (called Los Angeles Stadium during the World Cup) as the Americans raced out to a 3-0 lead behind two goals from striker Folarin Balogun and a Paraguayan own goal. The U.S. went on to win the game, 4-1.
Canada’s game kicked off in Toronto at 3 p.m. ET, while the United States’ game started at 9 p.m. ET.

abnormal adjective
: deviating from the normal or average
| a person with abnormal [=exceptional] strength
| abnormal powers of concentration
Thank you for posting the numbers proving my point. There was no connotation implied in my use of the word.
Yeah, no, sorry. And they never made a choice, this is how they were born. They are not trans. They are women with XY chromosomes.
They have historically always been considered women, until someone came up with a way to study chromosomes.

From NIH - Mechanism for Muscle Growth: Because they cannot convert testosterone into DHT, the excess testosterone circulates or is converted by the unaffected 5-alpha-reductase type 1 enzyme. This high availability of circulating testosterone effectively promotes muscle development.
Now, I'm not saying I totally support the banning of these athletes from competitive sports.....
We celebrate Michael Phelps despite it being known that he has a genetic advantage. He has a highly disproportionate body, his torso is extremely long compared to his legs, and his wingspan is significantly greater than his height. He also has a lung capacity of ~ 12 litres, which is double the 6 litre capacity of most other athletes that he competes with. On top of those things his body naturally produces 50% less lactic acid in contrast to other swimmers allowing him to push himself harder and longer.....this allows him not only to push harder in competition, but also in training which further aided in his overall development.
Caster Semenya,on the other hand, gets banned because of a genetic disorder that results in her having higher testosterone and she refuses to take medication to lower it.
That's completely unfair. If you won't force Phelps to inject sodium lactate prior to a competition in order to level the field, then you can't justify the treatment of Semenya.
I would argue, however, that there should be a restriction for someone like Imane Khelif. A sport like boxing needs to be an equal playing field because we are literally talking about women getting bruised and battered by someone with male strength. While she allegedly does take testosterone reducing medications, I think the effectiveness of these medications would need to be somehow assessed to permit competition.
The degree to which strength reduces varies significantly between individuals. How an individual's body responds to these medications often depends on their specific DSD diagnosis. For instance, someone with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome does not respond to androgens naturally, meaning testosterone-lowering medications typically have little to no physical effect on their muscle strength. By contrast, in conditions like 5-alpha reductase deficiency, where the body's androgen response is fully functional, testosterone suppression usually results in clear physical changes to muscle mass.
