I wish a mod would come along and delete that very offensive post.
I can barely believe what I'm ready.

An anonymous internet chatboard can be hard on those who get offended by people who don't mince their words and Doc was certainly one of those who exploited this freedom to the max (sometimes in ways that leave the aforementioned pissed off)
I will furiously defend his honour as a longtime friend of mine but can definitely sympathize for those who didn't appreciate his candour

Oh, I guess I can live with it. I'm generally an anything goes kind of guy.
However, a memorial thread for a deceased member doesn't feel like the right place to vent to me.
It feels a year or so late.

I guess I've had too many Irish friends pass, attending their wakes - because it really seems like a normal, and if I'm honest... perfect place to air grievances.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:03 pm However, a memorial thread for a deceased member doesn't feel like the right place to vent to me.

Nah, to me you tell him what you think to his face, or the online equivalent, I guess. Or just keep quiet. You should have them go after him whenever he went over to HF.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:50 pmI guess I've had too many Irish friends pass, attending their wakes - because it really seems like a normal, and if I'm honest... perfect place to air grievances.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:03 pm However, a memorial thread for a deceased member doesn't feel like the right place to vent to me.
I'm exactly the same guy online as I really am, not very creative I guess, but I do try to live by the same standard.

That's OK too Megs - everyone experiences loss differently.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:56 pmI'm exactly the same guy online as I really am, not very creative I guess, but I do try to live by the same standard.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:50 pmI guess I've had too many Irish friends pass, attending their wakes - because it really seems like a normal, and if I'm honest... perfect place to air grievances.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:03 pm However, a memorial thread for a deceased member doesn't feel like the right place to vent to me.

The man made a lot of enemies and quite a few friends... anonymously.
It's between those two. I got no bone to pick with the living or deceased.

Well, it seemed way offside to me, JPP. I'm a little surprised to find that people mostly disagree, to be honest.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 10:03 pmThat's OK too Megs - everyone experiences loss differently.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:56 pmI'm exactly the same guy online as I really am, not very creative I guess, but I do try to live by the same standard.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:50 pmI guess I've had too many Irish friends pass, attending their wakes - because it really seems like a normal, and if I'm honest... perfect place to air grievances.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2026 9:03 pm However, a memorial thread for a deceased member doesn't feel like the right place to vent to me.

But then, I'm a very old fashioned kind of guy, so this is not a new experience for me by any means.

Doc was an ASSHOLE!
And damn proud of it.
He never suffered fools.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Re: Is there a "Doctor" in the house?
Doc would have no issue with what 'Tuzzi stated.
He would have gone back at him 100% but would also have defended his right to say what he said.
There are a good number of (ex) users at both Central and the Corner who might say the same things (UK, Christapuppy, ChrisCC) to name 3.
I think it was Pauser who wanted to meet Doc in a dark alley after school at one point in time.
Both Doc and 'Tuzzi I regard as long time interwebz pals and I like(d) both of them.
I also respect Megs for standing up for what he believes in.
No need to delete or edit.
Everyone has just stated what they believe.
