You know you fucked up bad when the normally gentle giant, Mega-tronic is awaken and turns into a fire-breathing monster who goes scorched earth and stomps on the AIG cardboard properties.

Media speculating that the sandwich ladies are likely also gonzo as well as many in the scouting department as a full house-cleaning is in order to air this place out.

This pretty much a certainty if RJ isn't chosen. Gold is going to be bringing in his people.

I prefer the full purge route. This includes having ET scoot on outta here.

Petey looks like he's suffering from chronic wasting disease just like a deer...all patchy balding and cant stay on his hooves. Has he been skating in circles? Maybe he can retire

Yeah, I wonder if Peter has Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome :look:

I know he's never dropped his gloves during a game, but maybe he can lay them down at center ice after a game.

I'm in favour of a clean house. But more so I'm in favour of allowing the new GM to decide if he wishes to clean house, who, if anyone, he wishes to retain. I mean that is the way it should be when you hire a new GM anyway.
The only HW the Canucks need

As much as RJ is a defensible hire, I would be happy with them taking a vat of bleach to the front office - maybe some lye while they're at it - if they go with Gold. While some parts - such as Abbottsford and the scouts - weren't the absolute dumpster fire the big team was, it's not like they made a compelling case that they are indispensable either.

When the team winds up in last place, nobody's job should feel safe.

I was reading in the Province this morning that the Canucks scouts have been the worst in the league in the salary cap era. The whole group should probably go.

Out there today that the Sedins have been approached for a larger role within the organization.

Halford & Brough speculating that the GM search has all been just due diligence for appearances sake when they want Johnson and the Sedins leading the front office.

FFS.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Yeah...Gold was in Providence handling exit interviews over the weekend which he would not likely be doing were he moving on.

Waiting for the uneventful David Byrne transition....

I guess that's why they were propped up as this year's draft meme.

Same old. Same and old.

Firstly, I was on-board with a complete turnover on the Mgmt. side. Clean house - hire Gold etc. etc.

That being said, if you are trying to change the culture of a team, hard to do better than the Sedins. They had a lot of garbage thrown at them early in their careers, and come out smelling like roses. Hardest workers, smart hockey minds. I'd like to see what the could do with a bit of decision making power.

I've been on board with the Sedins before they were drafted. You think Peter supporters have it rough?

What you said is 100% true. They are everything you mentioned and they are great humans on top of that.

But at the end of the day, it's about this team and like you, I and many others, prefer a complete turnover from the outside. A youngish mgmt group with good experience and proven results.

My thoughts (out loud) are just concerns that people with this much time devoted to an entity, a way of doing things, etc. maybe isn't the best way for the Lazarus Canucks to rise again.

Sounds like it was a done deal internally from the beginning. Anyway, I guess we'll see...

Cheers, mate.

EDIT: I guess "Some Other Dood(s)" is the inside track to be the winner

Patrick Johnston reporting the Sedins and Evan Gold are all going to be in hockey ops in some way shape or form.
