If he does then hire him yesterday.
Between him and Doc, we should be golden.

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)
If inexperienced Doan is in consideration, why not just go with RJ? A guy who's already paid his dues cutting his teeth with the Club and someone you know and respect(?). Would be a slap in the face but nothing would surprise me with TFG's™.
Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)
Box ticking.
Don't see them hiring Doan.
Again I'd go Getzlaf before Doan.
The first step of the evolutionary process of this team into something it had never been took place in early 1987 when Pat Quinn was hired.
You will recall the Province/Sun headlines calling him our Superboss.
He was 43 when hired.
Then, like now, we had ended up with a top pick in our back pocket which resulted in Linden.
McKenna = Linden.
Arguable.
Ryan J. = Quinn.
Nope.
It is time to reincarnate 1987, hire a legit fucking leader/proven team builder who is not 100 years old or a deer in the headlights Swede, have ownership step the fuck out of the way and let the new Superboss build a team from our top 2026 pick forward.
Never mind the bullshit.
Make a hire who has cut his teeth in hockey but still in his prime (Evan Gold is 46) and let dude roll with it and build something.
But they won't.
Prepare to be underwhelmed.

TFGs have no qualms about peeling carrots in the faces of their own people or the fans.
GD, Lever. I started getting pumped up with each carriage return... McKenna -> Linden. Quinn. Leader, team builder, superboss. Bold moves... yada yada. That's your ending? Worse story ever.
(I sadly agree

True dat Carl.
It's enough to make me not want to care. At all.
Lack of good peelers these days, celery cap issues, and Patrick Allium makes more than a mere pox on the organization.

Yet, they expect you to keep taking it on the chin and swallowing it up, while they keep it coming with the same old save-face show.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2026 7:20 pm It's enough to make me not want to care. At all.

Agreed. As much as I liked King Arturs, not sure he would have done very well in front of our team and D-core this past season. He would have been a much better option than Tankinen moving forward though. That being said, I have been pretty happy with Tolo this season. His play (albeit small sample size) has made the loss of Silovs more bearable.
Just had to say, when I heard Demmer and Chytil say that they plan to have a great offseason and plan to be back next season, I couldn't help but to laugh. I have heard them say that b4 and seen that song & dance. However, if by some miracle Demmer can remain healthy for llike 30-40 games, I wouldn't mind just trading him. Same goes for Chytil.
Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)
I'm not so sure on that Snoozi. Recall that in the playoffs he was damned good when it came to the high danger chances, he just couldn't track shots from the outside through traffic worth a shit. It feels like the team we had this year gave up the sort of looks that played into his strengths.Todd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2026 10:07 pmAgreed. Agreed on him being a much better option than Tankinen.....especially the "much" part.
