The too early Stanley Cup 2026 Playoff Thread

Post by donlever »

Were the post season to commence today:

EAST

Sabres host Bruins - close but Sabres - 6 maybe
Tampa hosts Habs - close but Tampa - 6 maybe
Canes host Jackets - upset special? - Canes in 7
Islanders host Penguins - coin flip - Pens in 6

Columbus could get bumped still...Ottawa or the Wings most likely to do so.

WEST

Avs host Preds - cake walk - 5 games max
Stars host Wild - 50/50 - someone is gonna be bummed - Stars 7
Ducks host Mammoth - why Verbeek brought in vets - Ducks in 7
Oilers host Knights - why Torts was hired - Vegas in 7

Vegas could still get caught. By LA would be most likely. Preds still have Kings, Seattle, Sharks, Jets and Blues in striking range for 2nd WC.

Let's hope it's a good one.

You might want to clean up that typo in the title there, Donald.

Don't say that, brother Rats. We're all gonna watch it together.

Attrition commences.

Tkachuk hurt.

Dobson out 2 weeks.

Playoffs not even started and road bumps already for 2 of the 3 Canadian teams to qualify.

Not going to ‘cheer’ for any of these teams but I do have soft spots in my cold heart for: Sabres and Canes in the East and Avs and Mammoth in the West.

Teams I want out in the first round: Oilers and Wild (draft pick), don’t really care either way about all the other teams.

I could live with Dallas winning as an example to our merry group of donkeys (TFg's) with respect to how to manage (and own) a franchise the right way.....

I think that rationale applies to everyone in the playoffs outside of Edmonton.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

The Sandman takes it in a convertatble from YVR to Tyler Meyer's place in Kelowna and the Benn's place in Victoria.
