In the time after the deal was signed, the organization was plagued by underperformance and drama, with only a single playoff appearance to go along with 4 head coaches, the firing of the GM who signed you, and a huge amount of drama that went all the way to the top of the organization -- ownership, a President and GM who completely undermined the coach who had brought enthusiasm back to the team (apparently for the purpose of having no choice but to fire him), a Jack Adams winning coach who couldn't keep waters calm when the team should have been at its peak, and truly dysfunctional teammates.
I have no disdain for Quinn Hughes' supposed lack of loyalty to an organization that hasn't demonstrated competence or decency, much less loyalty.
Yeah, but it's all Quinn's fault. He was the captain, and anything the captain says the entire organization has to get in step on. Right?

The most one should expect from Hughes. As long as he ties up his dude, that's job-accomplished. Nobody's asking the likes of him or Patty Kane to drop'em.
