Pettersson isn’t going anywhere this off season….sorry to burst everyone’s bubble. He is still leading the team in scoring. He has the weakest group of wingers to play with in the NHL, and management will keep him around. Kane, DeBrusk and Boeser as Pettersson’s most consistent wingers haven’t played at a consistent top six NHL level and do most of their limited scoring on the power play. 0’Connor has been the only winger that has played okay with Pettersson, and his hands are third line quality. We’ll see significant improvement next year if the Canucks get lucky in the draft and McStenKennaBerg is a legitimate play driving winger out of the gate. He may not be a 100 point centre again, but with legitimate top six NHL wingers he’ll be near a point a game and play well defensively.

Hughes didn't give a fuck about his friends on the team if he wasn't winning. It would have been far more productive to dump his buddies and bring in players. Quinn, one of the two most dynamic and skilled players in team history, would still be here if competent management had done their job.

The stand pat status quo with middling talent while shipping out guys with skill and heart has been abysmal.

Now the season ticket debacle. They fucked them over asking them to pick up addition seats through the season to give away to their clients. When that didn't work, they extended the ways season ticket holders can resell because they couldn't give their ticket saway. Many are business holders using the tickets to give to clients as a show of appreciation. These days it is an insult to clients. Give them to that habitual delinquent account so they find some other supplier.

i went awol last year partly because I saw how blind many here were. So many thought the D core was near the top in the league. The D is set, just need a couple of tweaks in the forwards. You believed in M Pete, D Pete, Mancini, Forbert, that Hughes and Hronek were next level. You were fucking tweakers looking at the line up through a crack pipe.

Get rid of Foote and bring in Manny I keep reading on socials. What the fuck has Manny done in Abbotsford? Are folks as blind to his record and Manny's left eye? What’s puzzling to me is Rutherford’s history as an exec is not this bad, and he’s been known to move on from guys quickly, sometimes too quickly maybe, but nonetheless.

I can see him being very committed to Hughes. QH was a superstar who controlled the game like few others and was consistently playing at that high level.

The commitment to Pettersson smacks of ownership and Allvin.

I do agree that part of the issue for Pettersson is lack of line mates that can feed off of his game. His best line mate it seems was Kuzmenko. But that in and of itself is troubling. He should be the driver of the line and find a way to make others around him better. I mean Rossi seems just fine with Boeser.

And Pettersson did have easy success with Debrusk when he first got here. So while I think there is some merit to the argument that he hasn't had skilled enough line mates for the vast majority of his time here I dont think that can be used as an excuse. I also think that in the absence of a deal that does not have us retain of give up assets to move him we are better off trying to land him a dynamic line mate and hoping for a resurgence of sorts. An 80 point player would be fine if the club is winning again. But he has to find his agressive play in the Ozone again. He has become to perimeter.

But if we find a taker that does not want us to retain and wants to make a hockey trade I am all for it. Getting a centre back would be important. Preferably not one with concussion history, or any serious injury history for that matter. Better the player we have than an absolute shit of a trade.

Funny thing is I think we are all saying the same thing, on the same page as it where. Just some want to flush him no matter the cost and others want to hang onto to him until there is a trade that does not kill us. I dont want to trade him, give up picks to do so and have retention. Stupid that is, especially in a rebuild. Better to keep him and wait, Wait until we can unload him without the pain, or while he rediscovers some offence.

How many years did it take the previous regime to sit on their hands until the twins retired so they could finally start clearing out the NMC/NTC mess they inherited? It still pisses me off that the Sedins were untradable at time they still had value to be been moved for younger assets. It was similar to the stupidity of not just bringing back Linden but then extending him instead of buying him out.

The painfull age of placeholders is back but the overwhelming need is for a new person reading the book.

Current scandal involving an Aqualung vineyard in Washington where a subcontractor has been charged for work conditions and labour practices. The Aqualungs have been distancing themselves highlighting it is a sub contractor not them.

Believable given the country club they seem to run with the hockey team they are involved with.
