Are we going to have a full bench tonight? :D
Would we really notice Kampf's absence? I think his best contribution to the club was giving other players a breather on the bench while he occupied ice time during games.
Kampf played well for and all at a million bucks. But we get a free 6th.

I can hear it already…..

Media: Patrick, from an observer’s point of view, it appears that nobody had any real interest in any of your players beyond Sherwood who you dealt months ago. Was there a reason for that?

Patrick: Whell, as you know, it has been a tough year here in Vankhoover. But, I thinK that the real reason is the new rules and the playoff Kap.

Media: So you don’t think it has anything to do with the contracts with NTC’s that you handed out to players who would have gotten less elsewhere?

Patrick: Well I thinK Jim can answer that better than me. But Vankhoover has great fans and it’s a great city and everything we do here needs to be to keep fans engaged and create a hockey team they can get behind be proud of.

Elsewhere…..

Aquaman: How did the deadline go? I was busy doing real estate shit and suing my brother….

Jim: Yeah Frank, it went well. We moved out some guys and got some picks back in return, and the best part is only had to retain on the Myers contract for next year.

Mein Kampf and Third Reichel both gone. I guess that's truly the end of the war.

some 1sts given out and Canucks get none of them, thought for sure Garland would get a 1st.

Me too, guess his contract extension didn’t help.

Missing Pearson fetches a 7th for the Jets.

Meanwhile, no one will even talk to us unless we retain on our own missing person.

Sportsnet not listing the 4th rounder going with Kadri.

Conroy is making Allvin look like a fucking chump.

30 other GM's can make that same claim.

Hopefully, O’Connor, Blueger, Kampf and Kane are gone by lunch time.
Nobody wanting Kane must be embarrassing as fuck for everyone involved. Kind of surprised actually.

Is there a max % for retention?
Has anyone else noticed that Kane is the fastest skater in the league when he thinks he has a breakaway???

Released from the contract is the return. CBJ will definitely regret that much $$$ and term for a rapidly depreciating asset

Wow - went to work in my shop after the trade deadline, and was absolutely floored when I came back to find out Kadri had been traded. Sound's like a decent haul for the Flames. Keep piling up those 1st and 2nd round draft picks. Coleman can be traded in the summer, as I don't think his value will not change that much between now and then - plus the Flames will have 2 retention slots opened up by then. Kadri was more critical, as I think his value will just go down from here (due to age). All in all, I'm a pretty happy camper these days - can't wait until the draft.
