Any of the top 3 are phenomenal additions. That giant defenseman may end up being the best of the bunch for all we know
Very true. Hard to know how these players turn out down the road.
When the Avs finished last in 2017 and dropped down to 4OA, who knew then they'd actually end up with the gem of that draft in Cale Makar (btw, for about 5 years we too we did pretty well dropping from 2nd to 5th and ended up with Petey..a little different outlook now). Philly "won" that draft lottery going from 12th to 2nd OA and ended up with *cough* Nolan Patrick.
So who knows how things will shake down even if we lose the lottery. All I know is I prefer to have a 1OA for once in our pathetic history. Just one damn time during these bleak years for hope sake. For that matter if I could pick one year to have a 1OA, I would easily forego this year's for next. That stud D is looking crazy good.

Nuckster, even if we get 1OA, we either management fucks it up (pick the Swede) or the player gets hurt in a freak revolving door accident.
Just make it clear to anyone, don't drive a motorcyle.

I think the Swede would be my preference. Don't get me wrong, McKenna is going to be a superstar, but I don't think he'll be a "team driver". Stenberg's overall game is better. If I would be picking 1OA - Stenberg would be my pick. But then again, what do I know - I cheer for the Flames

They're so close at this stage and even though I'm a fan of the swedish kid, if I get first OA I think I take the local kid.

Time for a new direction
If the Flames end up with 2OA, they are getting whoever the Canucks pass on - but I'd be excited if either player was selected by the Flames.

Too quiet on the trade front. I'm not optimistic that the Flames are going to be able to trade Kadri. Hopefully they trade Coleman. The reality is, they don't have to trade either - they can wait until the summer when they recoup 2 retention slots.
