Tolopilo is 26 come April. Next season is the first season of “official” rebuild (this year they thought they could be a playoff team).
I'm definitely looking for more of a future trade asset hopeful than a key piece of the future core, but any positive development from him is a good thing so I'll mark it down as something to stay interested in. Caught my attention at the very least. Otherwise, very hard to find much else.
Ahh gotcha.
In that case I hope he discovers his inner Brodeur 2 years from now after we extend him to a 4 year contract at $2M. Then flip him for a haul.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
The Myers situation is a great example of why you don’t give out no trade clauses so easily. At least make a limited clause or something.
Take out the fact that he may have “earned” it but the team needs to have more options and not be hamstrung. There will always be some players with these clauses but damn it feels like 3/4 of the team (at least the good players) have them.
Brock Boeser: “Losing him will suck. Such a good guy, a great guy for the young guys. He deserves the chance to go win a Cup and I just hope he chooses the right team.”
Sounds like he has choice of destinations he is contemplating. Canucks have him on a clock as some of the teams have a clock. Could unfold today or tomorrow. His skate at warm up was his farewell skate at Rogers.
I think Brock deserves a chance to go play for a Cup. I just hope he chooses the right team for he and his fiancé.
Here in Saskatchewan, we put a bag of burning dog shit on a player's doorstep if we want him gone. I know, its just CFL, but, I bet NHL players would be more willing to waive after a few burning bags of

Come July 1 he has a 12 team no trade list. That leaves 19 teams Canucks could trade him too. Right now he has full control of the destination. He loses that control in July. So now he knows the Canucks will trade him, better for him he chooses. Which it sounds like from Boeser’s comments is what he is contemplating.

I think he is gone, before TDL. What I am guessing is that he is holding out hoping that Dallas or Colorado ups their offer to the point the Canucks can accept one of them. It just sounds like he isn’t super keen on Detroit.

Ya Think Canucks have more than one offer and favour, perhaps, Detroit. I agree, I cannot see him waiving for Detroit. Too far from home and not a contender, in the sense that the Avs and Dallas are. Again, I gather from Boeser's comments, I hope he makes the right choice, that he has options. That is the Rutherford way.
