Crush the leaves today.

Lose the rest of the season.

Not even FA could argue one win in 40 games is successful
Understood.

How about this then.

We all know how FA operates.

So...a scenario...

JR has a "great" trade set up for Sherwood.

Tonight we, as everyone wants, crush the Leaves 6-1.

....riiinnngggg....

JR...Quinn really wants to play with his brothers, Quinn wants to play with...uh, I mean hello..

FA....that Kiefer deal with Nill, done?

JR...EP is worth 11.6 mill....errrrr.. I mean yeah, just gonna finalize now

FA....hold off on it, I like the way we played last night and we have achieved goodwill with the fans beating the Leaves...let's see how the next few games go...maybe we sign him to that deal you offered instead

JR...if we don't sign off now the deal is gone...he has other irons in the fire

FA...no deal JR...Cammy....make me a Sammy

Karlsson moving up the lineup like Alex Burrows.

That centre ice group continues to be a sad microcosmic reflection of our overall team....

I'm with Donny on this one.

Hockey Widow wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 7:08 am Ya this is a tough one. Cannot cheer for the leaves but do want to finish 32nd in the league. It would be easier if Winnipeg started to get their act together and win 10 in a row.

So I guess I'll just see how it goes. May Sherwood have a monster game.
I’m calling the Jets to go on a 5 game tear after hitting rock bottom with 11 straight losses and finally thumping LA 5-1 last night.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Has to happen at some point. They s/b much better than their record.

That or Arniel gets shit canned.

Either way there will be an upward swing.

Then it will be Calgary we are fretting about.

Imagine losing the draft lottery to the fucking Flames.

Imagine losing the draft lottery to the Flames because their weighted opportunity was higher than ours because we just had to beat the fucking Leaves tonight?

Pretty much exactly what I'm thinking regarding the Jets.

As for the lottery and the Phlegms.....I am actually indifferent. While my pick would be McKenna, the decision is pretty split here between the top 3 guys, so it's hard to say that it's a loss either way. I mean, this isn't like the McDavid/Eichel lottery where pundits were trying to say it's a hard decision just to create drama (it wasn't close), I don't know that there is a clear cut choice between those three guys. If we pick top-3, it sounds like we will be getting a foundational piece.

My preference is not a European player, but if we end up with a Zetterberg, I wouldn't complain.

Losing to the Leaves, well that I am not indifferent on.

Ummm, yes!

The Canucks could lose every game from here on out and it wouldn’t change my numbness much, but watching the leaves, the centre of the universe, win this one game would really suck. My schadenfreude must be fulfilled, not theirs.

Go Canucks go!

Sellout?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
