All politics aside, can we agree that summilarily executing people over minor traffic violations seems somewhat excessive?

I’d say everyone can agree on that Per.
But that’s not what happened here.

LOL, if you think law enforcement is only twice as hard as warming rolls and butter... this discussion need not move any further. As usual.Mëds wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 8:29 pm
Do you think Grip Skylark realized when she posted that, that 47 days of Academy training is more than double the *up to 4 x 5 days plus a bit of hand holding with the warm rolls and butter?
*If you're not a card carrying moron you probably get through that process in half the time.

I think most everyone here understands that entering Creeper's Dojo is to expect the occasional sparring sessions. You willingly enter to voice your personal beliefs but maybe also sharpen your fighting skills, learn better to throw and take shots.
Yeah, it can get heated. But keep trying, I guess... and take sufficient breaks between rounds.

Hey, it’s the OF. If you can bait someone, it’s fun.
But maybe that’s just the bait for the bait?

Watch 0.30 to 0.45 seconds frame by frame.
0.35 - told to get out of the car
0.38 - Wife trying to get back in the car but door is locked to prevent agent access on driver's side.
0.39 - Driver shifts into reverse and is looking in mirrors as she reverses
0.39/0.40 Driver looks back at shift lever to shift into drive (I guess some need to do this)
0.40 - Right hand returns to steering wheel as she starts forward.
0.40 - Officer is in front of her vehicle as she accelerates forward.
0.41 - Officer hit
0.41/0.42 - shots fired
It will be interesting to see this time linked side by side to video showing when he draws his gun.
I don't believe it was her intention to hit the officer, I believe she was trying to flee.
The officer standing in front can't take that risk.
I doubt the wife knows what a "Big Boy" looks like.
There is testimony the Honda Pilot had fled an earlier incident and been chased, the chase was abandoned at a traffic light.
The officer who did the shooting was in the SUV on the opposite side of the Pilot when the ICE pickup arrived
The Pilot blocking the road between law enforcement vehicles immediately opens the prospect of ambush
Why was he filming with his phone - because he did not have a body cam
Protest blockades are being put in place by protest organizers. Truck loads of "supplies are being delivered to protest sites.
Walz is doing his best George Wallace at the school door impression declaring Minnesota does not need anything from the Federal Government and planning to use the National Guard for civil was against the Federal Government.
The Mayor is telling the Federal Government to Fuck Off.
The Attorney General is trying to with hold evidence from the Federal investigation.
Is this the Wild in Minnesota Wild?

It takes three years of college to become a police officer in Sweden.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 8:10 amLOL, if you think law enforcement is only twice as hard as warming rolls and butter... this discussion need not move any further. As usual.Mëds wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 8:29 pm

I wish I had the link to the video of 3 female Swedish police officers who were unable to arrest a single middle-eastern male. Was hilarious to watch as he just rag dolled all of them. But hey, they have 3 years of training.Per wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 2:28 pmIt takes three years of college to become a police officer in Sweden.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 8:10 amLOL, if you think law enforcement is only twice as hard as warming rolls and butter... this discussion need not move any further. In all seriousness though…..
It should take that long.
Law enforcement training here is too short (both Canada and US). I believe Canada is a bit better.

Threaten them, they respond.
...this is the core of the disagreement.
There are people who believe that failing to comply with police instructions (assuming that those instructions are coherent, and the person on the receiving end understood them, and processed them properly in the time allotted) is a reason to shoot someone -- armed or not, posing a credible threat to others or not.
And there are others who disagree.
Put me the camp of people who do not think that failure to comply with a police officer's instructions on his timetable is grounds for summary execution.

I think there are cultural differences at play here.
In the USA law enforcement officers kill 1000-1100 people per year.
In Sweden the police on average kill 1 person per year. Some years it may be two, many years it’s none. But on average one.
Of course, it is an unfair comparison as Sweden only has 10 million inhabitants and the USA 350 million.
Thus our number should be multiplied by 35. Still quite a bit lower than 1000+.
We expect our police not to take lives but to protect lives.
So when I see a guy shoot a soccer mom three times, point blank in the face - to me that is homicide.
I guess for an American it is just what you could expect if someone is being uppity.
I know in many third world countries police can kill anyone without consequences, but in civilized countries that kind of behaviour cannot be considered acceptable. There is absolutely no excuse for what he did.
As the pictures 5th posted, he was in no danger whatsoever when he fired. His feet were to the side of the car and the front wheels were tilted away from him. Renee Good was trying to drive away from him, after earlier, as can be seen in his own footage, telling him she was not mad at him. Also, the car was starting from a standstill, so her speed was probably close to 5 km per hour.
It has been suggested that this same officer has previously been dragged by a car, so there may be PTSD involved in his decision making.
It still does not make it acceptable.
Kirsti Noem was talking about domestic terrorism.
Terrorism is defined as the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
The only terrorist in that scene is the man holding the gun.
