The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Tciso keeping it precise and to the point....
Except for the whole "arresting illegals, and not their own citizens."
Yeah, they have caught and detained a few by mistake or kinda by mistake. But, it’s a pretty small number compares to the illegals. I don’t agree with a lot of the tactics and I am sure they scooped a few undesirables up too. But, Hitler probably grabbed a few non-Jews as well by mistake when they were still only taking Jews. Not comparing the 2 events, except both were rounding up identifiable groups.
Yeah, I wouldn't make that comparison at all. Hitler was rounding up German citizens based upon ancestral ethnicity with a plan to exterminate. Trump is rounding up people who are illegally residing in the country with a plan to deport.
The only thing that I truly don't understand (and absolutely hate) about what I see from ICE is that they all wear masks. If you are conducting legal operations as a member of a law enforcement agency, then you shouldn't need that.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

The reasoning, I believe, is to prevent doxxing.
Unfortunately too many people believe that their only recourse is violence. Whether it's against "leftist" professors or ICE agents.
The Trump movement is a cult of personality - with no consistent principles and no concern for truth, many of its boosters don’t care whether the success is real or phony. They don’t care whether the advertised “success” actually happened the way Trump says it did. They don’t care whether the so-called success achieves anything important or lasting. They don’t care if there later turns out to be a corrupt underside. They celebrate peace plans that don’t bring peace, trade deals that don’t enhance trade. The Trump movement exists to glorify Trump, in all his erratic mania. Results in the real world don’t matter.

That sounds like Carney too. Different shit, same spin.

Not so sure about that, PP the career politician had a helluva lead until shithead Trudeau stepped down, worst thing that could’ve happened to Timbit Trump. Carney had no time to nurture a “cult of personality” movement the way grifter Trump turned half of America into his mark.

I'd argue the CBC made him a cult of personality. He was being touted as the savior 6 months before Trudeau announced his departure. Once Elbows Up came along, he was set.
I just don't see the "cult" portion of Carney's supporters.
He is a politician. People vote for them, align politically with them. And perhaps disagree with those on the other side. This does not make them cultists. Because you disagree with someone politically, does not make you evil/brainwashed.
Trump on the other hand is a criminal, who - immediately after his conviction, raised 10 million dollars via his Republican National Committee and started selling T-Shirts with his mugshot on them.
Does anything that Carney has done since being in office even come 1/9th as close as that??
