I'm so looking forward to seeing some good hockey. Too bad Canada is leaving their stud goalie home. Maybe Binnington pulls a Petro and we can get Logan Thompson up to speed. Will be interesting if they take Doughty or Tanev. Maybe Brandon Montour or Mackenzie Weegar?

They really needed to find a spot for one or both of Macklin or young Connor. Their skill level is off the charts.

The one stupid thing about this tournament is it should include the Czechs. Very easy to make it a 5 Nations Cup. Full RR tourney. 1st place bye into the final. 2 and 3 play to see who meets Canada in the final. 4 and 5 are eliminated.

If you want 5 teams it should be Canada, USA, Russia, Sweden, Finland, and fuck the politics.

Regarding Bedard and Celebrini, they got some growing to do. Bedard I think they could have gambled on. I can see him thriving at a tournament like that. But can understand the reasoning.

It would be a three team event. So inviting Russia at this time would be a poor idea.
