It's not about Hughes, ST Louis #81 interfered with Lankonen.

Carl Yagro wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2025 5:03 pm Hey, at least someone will drop the gloves to rally the team, right? Why is one of your top guys fighting, you may ask?

Maybe sometimes you have to do something out of your comfort zone to rally the team... even if you have to eat a shot. Why do that if you've already checked out?

Has 11.6 screensaver licence ever dropped the gloves? I mean, other than to the trainer for him to dry?

Can't wait to see him swim through another scrum. My old cathode ray tube TV thanks him for extending its life.

Leadership personified.
Has Leon Draisaitl ever dropped the gloves? Jack Hughes? Mitch Marner? Nick Suzuki? Brock Boeser? Lucas Raymond……etc.

They all probably entered scrums to grab guys to assist teammates. Draisaitl has thrown cheap retaliatory hits, swung his stick, elbows, hacked at legs and ankles. Little Jack Hughes has less fear and has piled in against cheap shots, so has his brother Quinn. Ok, Mitch Marner cried on the bench. Brock is a wuss but would not swim away and watch.

So, some guys can just hide and still keep respect in a team game? On a hockey team... really?

Your trolling sucks.

How was the D with Myers back? D-Pete continuing to turn heads? How were the overall zone exits?

Only allowing 4 SOG in the first seems like a good start.

D Petey played just over 5 minutes in the first.
E Petey actually played a bit less than him.

The D is in sync and moving the puck quickly and decisively. It's a big reason for the outstanding first period.

Both of those guys looking good.

I'm not surprised, MFers.

I'm not watching (don't want to jinx it), but I hope the Baldies are. Good D = Good O... so simple, eh?
