I’ve made several adjustments regarding anything associated with JT Miller. Not my greatest moments. I was hoping nobody would noticemr perfect wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 12:10 pmDude: Remember the JT Miller for a first, Filip Chytil and Nils Lundkvist from the Rangers you wanted? Dallas didn't qualify Lundkvist and now he's UFA. Do you think the Canucks should bite since he's free for the taking? He's small, poor defensively and comes across as a spoiled brat. What's not to like?Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 10:40 am Not having Big Z’s presence in the playoffs will hurt. I gather they are done at forward but not at D. Are there any available D-men left out there?

Well Megs just posted Lundkvist re-signed with the Stars at less than his QO which means he realizes he's not worth as much as he thought earlier when he tried to shake down the Rangers with the threat of returning home to Mother Sweden if they didn't promote him out of the AHL and into the NHL. There are still some D-men available out there. Justin Schultz knows this coaching and management team from Pittsburgh days, don't know what's left in him nor would he play for the Canucks. He seems to be a BC boy like Sakic and Barzal who doesn't want to play for Vancouver but he might not have a choice at this stage of his career. I'd offer him 1 year $2.5 mil and he and Forbert could be an adequate 3rd pairing.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 12:51 pmI’ve made several adjustments regarding anything associated with JT Miller. ...or do the same with a younger Boqvist theman.

I think Edmonton got worse. They do still have a bit of room to upgrade in net.....but they'll have to find someone, and there's not much left out there for reliable starters.
I like that we took their biggest defenseman.
I don't know why people think DeBrusk is going to be a for sure thing on Pettersson's wing. I personally don't see that working. DeBrusk has played with 2-way, 200 foot, all-in, linemates for most of his career in Boston.....while there's a chance he becomes a 25-30 goal winger when paired with someone who has Pettersson's hockey IQ, I really just don't think this pans out as "the fix" with Pettersson.
Also, is Jiri Patera our new backup?
We are projecting negative cap right now, not sure if that's factoring Poolman or not. Moving Aman or Di Giuseppe to the AHL will get us under the bar with 13F and 8D.

Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Capfriends has the Canucks having a 24 man roster with negative 500k cap space, not including Poolman’s LTIR. Cap is fine.Mëds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 1:52 pm I think Edmonton got worse. We're okay cap wise with the Poolman thing Mëds, There's a hair under 2 mil left to sign Silovs with.Mëds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 1:52 pm I think Edmonton got worse. Looks like Patera and Silovs will battle it out and possibly move up and down to Abby and back.

I think the plan for a back is very much open. Allvin mentioned wanting to asses the best development path for Silovs who has one year left of waiver eligibility. So I think it is a safe signing to keep all options open.Mëds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 1:52 pm I think Edmonton got worse. The only HW the Canucks need
Re: Rebooted Around the League - 23/24
Just did the numbers. It does include Poolman's cap. So there will be $2.5M of room when the season starts.theman wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 2:03 pmCapfriends has the Canucks having a 24 man roster with negative 500k cap space, not including Poolman’s LTIR. Mëds will calculate cap numbers but not snip a post.
Which Mëds arrives in the ParaVan I wonder.
Lazy.
Or detailed?

I wonder if Rachel Doerrie was the mole?
Seems like things are vacuum sealed since she left as far as accurate media rumors are concerned.
They were looking like complete buffoons today.
