Apparently she's the victim of a subjective history lesson as the unofficial account mentions significant (yet non-specific and unverified) numbers of both black and white deaths in the Rosewood Massacre. The town was wiped out by whites from a neighboring town who didn't give two shits if the people they were after were black or white, they were just out for revenge because a white woman was assaulted by a black man in the next town over.

Tulsa was the result of a riot gone wrong over another assault by a black male on a white female. The situation was nearly diffused when one side (no one knows which) fired a shot. At the end there were 10 dead white people and 2 dead black people.....and then shit hit the fan. White people went on a rampage. But it was hardly started by someone that was simply out to take away wealth from blacks.


Bottom line. Hate is hate. The only way to stop hate and revenge is with love and forgiveness.

Thanks for this post Mëds. The only thing that I have to add is that "love and forgiveness" has to be preceded by reconciliation. But I don't think we're even at that stage yet because too many people don't even acknowledge that there's a problem.

I think they have to be in the opposite order. You can’t reconcile with someone if you hate them and won’t forgive them.

The things is....slavery is fuckin awesome if you're the ones that get to have them. Every race has had their turn enslaving other races including black folks owning whites. Hell, the majority of black slaves taken from africa were collected from their villages by...other blacks.
