Another one bites the dust

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Former lhw contender and long time referee Eddie Cotton has died of Covid 19.

I saw Eddie fight champion Jose Torres on tv back in the sixties.

RIP Eddie

Did everyone here catch the Supreme Leader's visit to New York a couple of years back?

That was his body-double that made that appearance!

You can tell by the wiggle in his walk and the giggle in his talk.

Last original Spotnick, Bob Lander (guitar), has passed away. :(

Ove Johansson (drums) and Björn Thelin (bass) died in 2017 and Bo Winberg (lead guitar) in 2019.
The band has had several other members over the years (1958-2019) though. Especially on drums.

Sad. The Spotniks were the greatest band to ever come out of Sweden imho, and one of the coolest instrumental groups of the era.

RIP Bob.

They were huge back in the day, but most kids haven’t even heard of them, which is kind of odd since they actually kept playing gigs and doing the odd tour all the way up till 2019.

Here’s a clip from a gig as recent as 2016:

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
