Does "age" mean anything to you? Check it out yourself, http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... ?pid=42311. In 2017/18 and 2018/19, he scored 26 pts in 78 games and 27 pts in 76 games. He is on a decline. Are you expecting him to score 40 pts at age 36?BigTuna wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:30 pmSo he suddebly lost it, gotcha. His #'s were far better than any 4th line C on the Leaves last year.
My god, Benning is killing your cap with average players.

He's a 4th line Centre making 700K with had very good numbers in that role last season. You see, the leaves like to pay 700K for 4th line players. You don't give 4th line players 4 million per.Jovocop wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:39 pmDoes "age" mean anything to you? Check it out yourself, http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdis ... ?pid=42311. 4th line players don't score 40 points. So no, I don't expect 40 points. He scored 26 and 27 points last 2 years because he was on the 4th line...
Why are you acting like Toronto needs big offensive numbers from Spezza? It's a nothing contract with little to no risk.

Nahhh Myers is a # 4 all day. Maybe overpaid by 500 K. As I said the bad contracts are Loui, Sutter and Beagle.BigTuna wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:34 pmBenning is overpaying for aging, supporting talent. Bad, bad move. Myers blows bad.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:30 pmMiller’s, Ferkland’s and Myers contracts are fine. Sutter, Beagle and Eriksson not so much. To say all six are bad contracts is asinine.BigTuna wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:08 pm BTW, since we are on the cap subject, are Canuck fans concerned how they are being built? There is a lot of cap tied-up to late 20's and 30's bottom 6 talent.
I'm so glad Leaves are not paying the Eriksson, Myers and Beagle's of the world that much $.

That's just ugly. 14.75 locked-up recently to Miller, Myers and Ferland. Jeus. That's a lot of $ on supporting talent. Not to mention 6 million for Eriksson and all that $ on Beagle.
Pay your stars but don't do what Benning is doing. ridiculous.

LOL I doubt Boston felt it. Muzzin plays hard and so does Morgan but what a bunch of wet farts.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Tuna definitely rides the short bus.
You were already told you're not counting the Marner contract.
And: WHOOSH
Marner's contract will put them right up against the cap.
(where they have to be to use Horton's LTIR)
(I bet they'll have to dump Kapanen/Johnsson to fit him in btw)
Next year they won't have $26M and they won't $29 - $30M.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU
They will have $12M + what ever the cap goes up (most are predicting another $1.5M) to distribute among
RFA Dermott ($2.5M?)
UFA Barrie ($8M?)
UFA Muzzin ($6M?)
UFA Ceci ($4.5M?)

Oh boy more of your sunmer yearly predictions on Toronto trading young talent for cap reasons. You started with that 2 years ago and have yet to be right.Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 4:55 pmTuna definitely rides the short bus.

I love the idea Ceci needs to be signed. HAHAHA. Do they or do they not have $ to keep Barrie? Yes. Absolutely. Are you not bothering to count any of their cheap Marlies players? Nope.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
I say that about "young" players?
Yeahno, I say that about players.
Did they not just trade Kadri, Marleau, and Brown for cap reasons?
Did they not just let Gardiner, Zaitsev, and Hainsey walk for cap reasons?
The year before JVR, Bozak, Komarov, Martin, Polak.
Every year of late it's the same thing...
Are you going to admit you were wrong about $26 - $30M now?
I guess, if they kiss Muzzin and minute-muncher Ceci (Cock is gonna love this guy )goodbye.
But see, Barrie told Joe he is intent on signing with his Canucks next summer.
Cripes Tuner, you're already gonna have a dozen AHLers on your team this year.
Why do you think we're laughing out loud at you!

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Should Tarana change their name from the Maple Leaves to the Tea Leaves? For the small, dainty sized line-up?

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
They should really just the change their names to the Toronto Senior Marlies.....they are essentially going to be an AHL squad with like 5 or 6 good NHL players.
