It doesn't take much because Glass Jaw Andersen has a history of concussions.

He is what is known in the trade as "a big weenie".

I let it slide the first dozen times but... I don't think you know what "depth" is. :eh:

If the Leaves had even the average man-games lost this year

... their lack of depth would have been exposed.

No excuse here though, send me your email address and I will e-transfer you the $20 for our bet. I will admit to being more than just a little incredulous that for the first time that I can ever recall, you were right about something. Congrats!

The leaves give up the most shots in the league, an average of 28 per game. That's atrocious for a playoff team. That weakness will be exposed in the playoffs. Their defence is hopeless. You won't do much post season with that kind of handicap

At least they have the assets to acquire defensive help.

And we just happen to have defensive depth to help acquire offensive help.

Depends what they would give up for Tanev. I don't see Edler being of much interest to them.

If they trade Tanev they need a good quality return ......not quantity.

Leaves need a youngish top-pairing physical RS shutdown dee (among other things).

What assets do you propose they give up for dat dere? :mex:

They could deal Nylander and get a damn good d man. They could trade Kapanen and a first and get a good player back. I would think Mathews and Marner are untouchable and rightfully so. Kadri even though I don't like him , would return a solid defenceman.

If they trade Nylander they only have 2 young offensive forwards moving forward.

Harder sell to the flash-n-dash fans... but maybe?

Kapanen could be a Vey-like bust at the NHL level (no team would do that deal)

They have already traded away too many picks (despite what Tuna says the rebuild is not complete).

I don't think Kadri gets the dee I described above (career year, likely to fall back into his partying ways)

The Nylander option seems the best but Leavers are loath to to trade any of their 3 young forwards.

(they have hitched their wagons to their stars, they FREAK OUT at the mere suggestion of moving one)

Besides I'm not convinced a team would give up a physical top 2 RHS dee for him in this market.

But yeah the dee is a wreck... next year the only NHL caliber dmen are Rielly/Zaitsev/Gardiner

... all three are soft second pairing guys (and Zaitsev might yet get coaxed back to Russia).

This can't be fixed anytime soon.

Watch the Caps steamroll them in the playoffs! :rockin:

Sounds like rookie bonus money earned thus far, to be added to Leaves salary cap next season! 8-)

($212.5K yet to be added if Zaitsev makes the all-rookie team)

What do these numbers mean?

$5.3M
$5.25M
$1.333M
$1.2M
$.750M

Hint: Good thing Tuna doesn't care about the cap...

Ding ding ding ding. Winner winner, chicken dinner!

Baby blue bonuses. Don't tell Tuna we know they can use LTIR but first they must be cap compliant to start the year.

Your numbers? Buyouts, retentions, maybe?
