As for Obamacare? Do I 'believe' in it? Yes - it's a thing, it exists. Do I think it's good? No, and in fact it doesn't help me one bit. There was hope, and then they bowed to pressure and took the single payer option out - note how I said it needs to be 'fixed' rather than 'removed' - it has helped some people.

The EPA and global warming are two different, yet somewhat connected issues. Do I care about global warming? Not really, I don't have kids - so when I'm done here - fuck y'all. Do I believe it exists? Yes, there's too much evidence to ignore - but I'm not to bother trying to convince you. On the other hand, I do enjoy clean air and water. There have been many regulations that have helped in this area thanks to the EPA and other agencies. Are they perfect, no - but to dismantle them just let corporation police themselves is completely totally, fucking insane. Should we transition to renewable energy? Yes - because eventually we'll run out of coal and gas.

I hear ya. I too want healthcare available to anyone who needs it and good air and water. It just makes sense, especially as Canadians who take these things for granted. But the implementation of these ideas by those big institutions seem to fall far short and even gets to the point of lying to everyone. As in the case of global warming or the massive increase in healthcare that many experienced under Obamacare.

Again, there's a difference between having allies and the global economy. Yes, it's good to keep some countries in line and alliances are needed for that. Does it suck that companies want to save money have the 3rd world build our useless shit?

I don't know about a solution. But I can see the problem where a country over-trades with other countries at the cost of their own self sufficiency. This seems to make them more vulnerable to global and potentially uncontrollable events. For example, going to war with China ... what would be left on the shelves of Walmart or the Dollar Store?
