Ilya look at dat...
Step out for some milk and come back to find Bertuzzi adding 3 Moore to his totals.
Have the young Hawks arrived or have we dropped back down to the bowels of mediocrity?

So, does Myers get a ‘courtesy 4 assists’ or a ‘Chicago 1st star’ for that particular episode of chaos?
That fucker needs to rest. When he plays more that 16 min he is a fuckingbtrainwreck.
It was Myers game to lose.

Does anyone remember when Gohmert told us that he had a choice between going to the WHA and the NHL and he told the WHA to fuck themselves and reported to his IHL affiliate.
Dave Keon
Gordie Howe
Bobby Hull
Mark Howe
Anders Hedberg
Ulf Nilsson
Kent Nilsson
Wayne Gretzky
Mark Messier
Gohmert could have saved that league.

Annabeth Gish looks gross now on Chicago Fire. I thought she was a bomb in Mystic Pizza. She's razor thin. Like 90 pounds. Jesus Christ.

I don’t think we are any better than Chicago.
It’s going to be a trying season, depressing in fact, seeing all these up and comers in the Western Conference while we stronghold the mushy middle in “good enough” town.

It was a night to forget, just no puck luck.
I hope coaching does not look at the game of what not to do, i.e. play an open style of hockey that was fun to watch but look at the little things that lead to Chicago scoring. 2 games in a row that they had 30+ shots, if they can keep that up goals will come, they just need to be better defensively and it didn't help that goaltending (not to be blamed) was not as good as it could have been.

I have always disagreed with the mantra that if you keep getting 30 or more shots that the goals will come.
Shot quality is actually important if you don’t have a net crashing, garbage goal, cleanup crew. Last night was unlucky and they were getting some net presence, but generally it was an out matched situation. 1 Canuck vs 2+ Blahcocks.
This isn’t midget where the goalie is going to just whiff on 1 every 10 shots or so. NHL starters will stop 99% of perimeter shots that they can see.

As well.
High volume shot totals oft come at the expense of satisfactoy defensive play.
I am not saying it is unacheivable...
...just that it is not easy and can depend on the ingredients you have in hand.

Punk-ass goalies don't worry about getting peppered with .22s, these are low calibre shots.
Goaltenders worry about a Dirty, Hairy team that don't even count whether they've taken 5 or 6 shots. They know they've got the most powerful and quality shots that will blow a goalie's cup clean off.
Do goalers feel lucky facing shots like that? Well, do they?
Punks.

Agreed about shot quantity vs quality.
