Maybe a 3rd for Stecher and a 4th for Olaf. Depends on the acquiring team and it’s needs and what time of the year it is. But Tampa has kids they can plug in up front. They aren’t trading for Virtanen if he’s making 3.5 million on a long term deal.

Better.... Edler likely gets more minutes than Tryamkin but he could shepherd a youngster on the bottom pairing, and occasionally take some reps with Myers. They looked good to her at times this season, other times.... not so good. May as well keep Benn as a 6/7 guy. Olaf and Woo can cook in the minors.

Isn’t there some questions in Utica about Raffertys defensive side of the game, and something about him being a less than stellar skater?

I would give the kid his shot in whatever training camp he can tryout in. They didnt call him up mid-season mostly so he can log the minutes down on the farm...hes lit up the A and hes earned a crack.

Brogan turns 25 this month. He's an offensive defense man at the AHL level. By all means though, an elongated look in camp is in order.
Juolevi gotta make it in N. America this year or find work in Europe, I think.
Woo will need time on the farm just to see if there's anything happening with a hockey career.

Now I'm more thinking elite young shutdown dman (Tanev's replacement) plus a 1st (under no circumstances would I add anything to Boeser to get a shutdown dman, and I sure as shit wouldn't give up a 1st or prospect [hello Ballard]).

Hold on rockafella, I'm keeping Boeser, young elite sniper's are hard to find and keep as it is, having two of em in Toffoli and Boeser - both righties is a god send - you keep both at all costs.

If anything I'd package Virtanen up for a dman, big hitter, right shot, fast, 20 goal scorer (before covid, he was well on his way to 20) should be able net a top 4 right side dman.

Only way I'd move Boeser is if someone like Seth Jones pulls a Chris Pronger and demands a trade outta CBJ, but yeah we'd have to add quite a bit.
