At this point, Carl, we’re here for the people…..the team lost us years ago.

When central collapsed I can’t recall if I came straight over here or not but I do remember signing up at HF boards as Ratatatatat or some such.

I saw. a “ Strangelove” sent a pm I said “Doc?”

He answers back “Rat?” I remember the joy we both had at that simple find.

Then we came over here and the rest was history..

My point is as Mëds points out… it really is about the people the team is just common between us all.

Love you all…. Some more than others but hey!
55 years…
3 cup finals….

That will be all…

The only reason I came back is the people.

Couldn't care less about the team.

That prick Strangelove grilled me good after my initial return to action post.

I think I said something along the lines of..."y'all clowns still doing this shit"....to which he responded with a "yup" and a pick of a clown.

He then hit me with a Warren Commission level grilling.

I think it was an Angie Dickinson shuffleboard response that provided a hall pass back as the final proof it was me....

A lot of gall for a guy who had a closet full of socks.

So yeah...fuck you again Strangelgrove....(he just loved it when I called him that.....Spock picked up on it after a while as well...)

Who the fuck else would I want to talk about the Canucks besides you reprobates??!?

Like others, I keep coming back here because of who’s here. I appreciated that Google AI take on this place because it reinforces my perception of this place: the calibre of discussion here is head and shoulders above the kind of shit you find on HF boards. I can imagine it’s daunting for some noobs; you come here, you know your shit or you’ll be called out. Like a teenager looking to sit at the men’s table. That said, I appreciate how we keep each other honest - while taking a bit of piss out of each other in the bargain.

Doc was good for that. Didn’t suffer fools but didn’t bully them either. We’ll carry on, but he’s missed.

I cannot remover how I got here, somehow through other sites or word of mouth?

Regarding Doc, he was 1 of a kind.

This site is good but can’t wait for the season to start and look forward to 2027 draft.

I've been here at the Corner since about '97, when I moved to Vegas and needed to talk hockey (as VegasNucksFan). The site went through a couple of reboots, and of course, there was the great migration from Central, which gave the site the big kick in the ass it needed.

And here we are - the central repository for Canucks knowledge ;)

I got here because the alt..sports...hockey.canucks newsgroup pretty much closed down mid 2000's and MCP guided me here . Yes. Blame MCP. It's all his fault. And, Jim Benning, and Messier. But, mostly MCP. :D :D

Hasn't posted since 2011.....

His last post was a comment about Lever's absence.

To quote his namesake: "Fascinating."

I liked Spock.

Very logical.

I'd list other long gone posters and point out attributes. Then I realized there's a high chance that one of you reprobates changed names, I've already forgotten who was who, and I would feel pretty silly writing a eulogy for an active poster but retired handle....
