RJ is a man of his word. He is a fan of size that's for sure.

Blobby will definitely approve of these choices and almost certainly likes the new regime

Skating is definitely way easier to coach than length and processing speed. As a drafting strategy, it makes sense -- especially for a new front office.

But that reinforces the argument for trading down to draft Verhoeff. Maybe the offer quality wasn't there. Or maybe, as I suggested, ownership insisted.

Did the Canucks make a trade today? I thought they had 3 6th round picks but I only see 2 selections.

Also I see that the Canucks took the mantra “build through the C” literally over the past two days.

Big kids with high motor, character and a shot on them. Seems to be the template for this draft. They're not all physical, but are not afraid of the physical side of things.

Seems they are banking on some of the kids making strides in their skating ability post-draft. You can't coach size.

Cheers

‘27 is supposed to be a deeper draft, even a 5th is chips at the table.

Canucks have 10 picks so far in the 2027 draft.

Was thinking it's not beyond the realm of possibility that the #1 & #2 centre's at World Jrs. are Canucks.

Wouldn’t that be something.

Who knows, maybe Rogowski makes the American squad

Thanks Picker, saved me a lot of time looking them up.

I don’t sweat on any 3rd and later picks, they are always a reach. More goalies in the pipeline is needed.

And if they have character they probably have a good work ethic, which is something RJ also said they want.
