Exactly. So, RJ is the "Anonymous NHL exec" ;)

Kid is compared endlessly to the best playmaking wingers like Kane, Kucherov, Marner... all well-known to be playoff chokers.

The leaves are taking him - I would be the house on it. The only choice is if SJ is prioritizing a Dman. Then we make the most important draft pick in our recent, and sad history.

No doubt, Corndog.

After seeing Mitchy raking it in LV, they probably got a serious case of seller's regret. Kid will give them a quick retool and maybe even Pigman will want to stay around for the new window.

I truly believe that. I also hope TML wastes his best years like they do with all their top players.

Meanwhile, that leaves a few BPAs for us to choose from... but we'll still probably bring in the relative's kid like it was some union job.

All his dad's buddies will be there. Party like it's 2011.

Malhotra doesn't appear to be a reach at 3 based upon the rankings from various outlets. He has top line center potential...those are the new right handed defensemen

RJ favours players who have worn a letter at some point in their career. How does that translate to this years draft, all else being equal

Malhotra wore a letter for a prospect tournament. Reid has been an “A” and Stenberg has been both an “a” and “C”.

So looking at pick 24 with the names bandied about it will be interesting to see who is available and that part of their background.

I'm starting to hear noises that maybe the Malhotra's aren't that excited about Caleb coming into this situation here. Apparently he was the only top prospect from the combine who was sheltered from the media, there was no access to him at all. They obviously don't want to talk about something.

It's all starting to look like the Sedins are leaning into Stenberg, which is what I hope happens, frankly. And a potential first pairing defenceman wouldn't be a bad consolation prize either.

He spoke to the media. Said he is proud of his dad and said it would be exciting to play for him. Keep in mind he may not make the NHL for 2-3 years. I mean it is a problem for another day. If they think he is PBA they have to take him. I honestly have no idea.

Yes he did, Wids, but the proapect/draft specialist media guys like Cam Robinson and Corey Pronman didn't get time with him the way they did with the other top draft prospects. It was definitely a no access situation. At least, that's what they themselves were saying when they got back from the combine. And then guys like Tom Drance extrapolate from that and run with it.

And then the likes of me repeat what they heard in places like this. You know how it works.
