Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Perhaps Mancini. He thrived under Malhotra. Manny may trust him more than Foote did.

And Karson and Sasson. Players he won the Calder with. In fact anyone on Abbotsford may have a better shot at camp.

Sass, Karlsson, Raty, Mancini, KK and Bains all benefited from the Calder Cup. Raty just won gold at the WCH playing 16 min/GM and was 4th best on draws overall.

Realistically, Raty, Karlsson and Mancini could become impactful depth players under Manny.

Raty and Mancini certainly seemed underdeployed last year for a team with no shot that needs to develop players. Now, Mancini didn't do anything to demonstrate that he had a good shot at being a impactful NHL player, but maybe Manny can unlock something. Raty, I think, has a capped ceiling but a capped ceiling that has value to the league. If he develops to that ceiling and is not a good fit to complement the next core, he will still be movable for value to the team he would complement better. Its very realistic to see Raty become a Jason Dickinson-like player, and as much as a joke as JD was when he was in Vancouver, the fact is that he earned a raise after he was (stupidly) dealt with a sweetener, he was part of package that brought a good return to the Hawks, and it won't surprise me if he sees another raise this offseason as a UFA in a class that's not deep.

Assuming they might fit him in at 4C? Not much reason for him to leave the motherland otherwise - seems most Russians don't make the move the A.

Still a big center, defensively strong, not a strong skater to stand in front of the net and score some dirty goals, and hopefully have a little sandpaper? What else we got? I guess we'll find out at training camp.
The Jet Woo Era is over.

Despte all the big announcements lately - the important roles will be pro and amateur scouting. Do we have any new faces there?

I’m hearing that Canucks have or will be talking to every player with trade protection before the draft. They want a firm commitment one way or the other. I guess they are pumping to see if they can grab another first or 2 heading into the draft. They have been receding a lot of calls on the availability of a lot of players. They have made it clear they won’t dump a serviceable vet unless they want out. They will take back other cap dumps but at a cost although with cap going up the price to weaponize us not as good as in past years.

So I think they have had a lot of discussions and seem intent on changing the make up of the team. Pettersson is really on a rehabilitating leash. Get him back to producing as an 80 point player while still playing a good defensive game and see from there. This management team won’t have the same attachment or patience.
