Evan Bouchard, the $10.5M gift that keeps on giving.

I think 10.5M is a fair contract for a 95 point, 26 year old right shot defender.

They just need to insulate him a bit better. Edm as a whole has been playing trash hockey so far in the playoffs.

He also has 83 points in 78 playoff games.

Bouch is another Mëds jihad.

No jihad at all. I want Edmonton to lose and he is helping with that. Lol.

He’s a point producer, but for a defenseman of that salary, way too many of his mistakes end up in his net.

If you want to insulate Bouch, and his defensive liability, you need a shutout down line, and a few other dmen who understand defense. And a goalie. Anaheim is too deep for Edmonton. I hope it ends in 5.

Nah.

No Bouchard jihad here.

An Oilers jihad? Certainly.

Jihad would mean converting their players and fans to become Canucks, and putting the infidels that do not convert to death. Followed by burning their city and salting the earth their stadium once stood.

Wishing them to lose is so far from jihad. Both sound fun.

Who said anything about insulating Bouchard?

I don’t think any player making 8 figures should require insulating. If he does then you should be shifting your sights to the GM who signed that contract.

I get paying for offensive production in a forward, but in a defenseman who accumulates nearly half of his points via secondary helpers while playing with McDavid and Draisaitl?

Right now I am loving the $20M cap hole that is Edmonton’s highest paid blueliners.
