Boldy undressed Myers like a 6'8 traffic cone to set up the canuck-fucking tying goal
Speaking of Minny...Hughes isn't even the best defenseman on his team. That Faber is unreal

I noticed. Faber makes Hughes look like Hronek with Hughes. Now Hronek without Hughes looks like Faber.
Minny didn't even need to make the deal. Buium & Faber would be an awesome pairing.
Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
You guys are hilarious.
If you can get a Hughes in an effort to take your team to the next level you do it.
All day, every day.
Norris trophy winner...53 points in 48 games with Minny, gold medal winner in between....
Watch a couple of playoff games and now he's their second best D and they did not really need him.
Why don't we ask their room what they think?
What a group we Canuck fans are.
Last year we were calling him better than Makar.
Now this....

And as predicted, some US commentators are now wondering if he's the best D in the league.donlever wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2026 8:24 pm You guys are hilarious.

If memory serves, Canucks GM candidate Rob Blake actually traded Faber to Minny while he was still in college.

Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
Yeah, I agree, Donald.
I like our little community of Canucks fans and I know most of it is somewhat tongue-in-cheek (at times).
But I really don't understand the vitriol directed at some ex-Canucks... especially those who were our best players... some of the best in franchise history, who loyally brought it nightly and gave us some of the team's best and most exciting seasons.
No, they didn't quit. They saw no future here anymore or were pushed out over others. They simply looked after themselves like any professional athlete who has leverage in their signed contracts.
I'm happy he was a Canuck. Our one and only Norris winner. One of the league's elite and still only 26. I'm sad he is no longer.
I don't blame the ones who left or the ones who still want to leave. I blame the ones who ran the ship aground and want to still hang onto the helm.
EDIT: Hughes is leading the Wild Dmen in scoring. While Faber is very good, he still isn't Quinn Fucking Hughes and likely wouldn't be quite as good if QH wasn't paired with him.

Exactly. Woulda thought if anybody can sense some tongue in cheek it'd be Donny.
My opinion of Quinn 'Fucking' Hughes as a player has not changed one iota.
Strawberry makes a good point though. Faber is unreal.

One thing that is a constant you can bank on is the vitriol for ex-Canucks is always minute compared to present Canucks. No matter who leaves and who stays, there's always a handful of present guys who take it far worse.
We're just having fun with Quinn and Tyler (I know I am).

Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
Quinn is fantastic at breakouts and distributing pucks for sure but Faber...man that dude is the complete package when the intensity ramps up.
Brian Burke on Quinn when he was walking up to draft day podium:
"That's a tiny body"

Rutherford throwing everyone under the bus after they're gone is what really pisses me off.
That conniving geezer is such a douche. Probably the worst judgement/instincts I've ever seen on a hockey manager to boot. Fuckin' jeezus.
