lever-age ... points to ponder

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

White gal Stevie Nick's from F Mac is on the original list.

I didn't say Aretha and Etta don't rock Topper.

I simply said MoTown wasn't on my mind.

Neither Motown

Etta - Chess (Chicago)
Aretha - Chicago - NY

Not the biggest fan, but the ladies from Fleetwood Mac.
I leaned a little heavy on the hotness and less on rockin.

But yes Belinda Carlyle is in that boat..

Definitely hotness over rockin... 4-3 on aggregate.

I think you have to put Linda Ronstadt somewhere in this list.

Good call, and we should add Carly Simon from that era.

Diana Ross. Not rock, but sass in the day.

Dolly Parton. Not rock, but rock attitude.

Joni Mitchell. Not rock, not rock attitude, but something rock and roll about her. [edit: Topps beat me]

Never dug Joni Mitchell.

Saw her with Van Morrison and Dylan one time.

She was second.

We all fell asleep.

As far as Mama Cass and Miss Phillips go that band gets not enough cred....

Court and Spark is a great album - I'm not into her 'jazzy' stuff - but that's one album that stands up over time. (and has Cheech and Chong on it) :mex:
