Watching the Kingston-Ottawa Game 4. Dervin was giving off Welly-vibes: skilled but butter-soft. Good on face-offs, though.
…then he gets wiped-out on a blindside hit. Haven’t seen him since; kid’s probably in concussion protocol.
Talking with a contact from Frontenacs management, seems they’re counting on him coming back next year to help the next wave of youngsters. I can definitely see that happening. Kid’s a project at best.

Isn't he headed off to the NCAA next year? I know that was the original plan; he only showed up in the CHL at all because of the new eligibility rules.Lancer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2026 5:48 pm Watching the Kingston-Ottawa Game 4. Saw that afterwards. Admittedly, the guy who told me works in their marketing vice hockey ops side, so he may not have the fullest inside knowledge. Kid seriously needs to bulk up, though, regardless.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2026 3:36 pmIsn't he headed off to the NCAA next year? Yeah, I thought it was a weird pick at the time, but he was always going to be a guy we looked at after 2-3 years of college.Lancer wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2026 5:50 pmSaw that afterwards.
