Not much to add here...

How can a guy with 3 rings be this incompetent? All squawk and no walk. His right-hand man acts like he's never done this job before.

I get how a bunch of HOFs in Pitts got his name on the cup twice, but was Carolina a total fluke? The Bungles boggles...

The thing that is different now, besides the geography, is that he wasn't 78 years old then.

Watch Rutherford fire Alvin for the shit show the team has become.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

Yes.....this....the league has clearly passed him by.

I suppose Allvin amd the Sammies were meant to be the counter measures to this but it is tough to provide a balance to things when each and every one of them are incompetent.

Allvin was hired by the Canucks on Jan. 26, 2022, less than seven weeks after Jim Rutherford took over as president of hockey operations.

They inherited a team in disarray, but one that had a number of good young players already in the lineup. Quinn Hughes was 22 and Elias Pettersson was 23. Brock Boeser (24), Thatcher Demko (26), Bo Horvat (26), and J.T. Miller (28) were all in the fold.

Four years later and the team is much worse, necessitating a rebuild.
Neither of the baldies should survive. Canucks fans are used to being in purgatory, but these fucking guys took this organization to the absolute depths, all the way to the 9th circle of hell.

Satan, the owner, having let one Trevor back into the building, now probably was to let another Trevor back also for PR sakes. You can't Beggs the fans to come back while compounding one incompetent decision on top of another.

While Linden was probably a hire for PR sake, I don’t think he was a bad hiring. I think he had the right idea and became a bad firing when ownership balked at the notion of patiently rebuilding.

Trophy exec, just didn't know his role - like a stand-in vocalist who thought he could contribute to the artistic direction of a mega-band. Frankie wanted Trev in to add legitimacy to what he wanted Benning to do; he didn't want Trev to actually do his job as his colleagues on other teams would - especially if it differed from what Frankie thought.

Sad thing is I think consensus is Trev was right.

Wrote a piece about AIG’s questionable business ventures. And as Kenji said, he was escorted out of Rogers mid game.

Funny thing about this is they nuked his access in order to bury his story about the AQ family's law troubles south of the border. Funny thing is, word of the shenanigans got out and the story has survived its apparent removal/retraction. AQ family and the organization smell petty and vindictive; the Vancouver sports journalism scene - such as it is - look like a bunch of cowardly bitches for not standing up for Beggs; and the season keeps lurching towards the end.

TWR. Always was.

Even if they toss Allvin overboard, I don't see the two clowns being able to handle the necessary, full rebuild.

They'll declare the rebuild complete by trading most of the assets accumulated in this and next year for vets in 2028 to go into win now mode. Guaranteed.
