You have to believe that Tocchet was not aligned with some of the decisions that management made and did not see a path forward. Miller was a team player. He could carry this team on his back. Pettersson, well we all see the problems just don't know why. I advocated long ago to keep Horvat and trade Miller when he was at an all time high but the fans and media would never have accepted that at the time.

But to Tocchet, I think there were fundamental differences on how to build the team and I believe that keeping Pettersson over Miller was not want Tocchet wanted, nor Hughes. But I am just spit balling based upon all the rumours and stories. Even those few people I know still with some inside info don't have a story to tell, or a story they want to tell me. Bastards!!!

People will soon recognize that he is a better, more dynamic player than Makar now that he is in Minnesota. It's always been true, but hasn't been recognized, and no effort was made here by the team, the fans, or the media to correct this slight. Nevertheless, he was prepared to be a superstar out of the spotlight if the franchise wasn't being run into the ground. Basic competence was all he seemed to be asking for; was it too much to expect?
