I hope the waivers will breeze by without incidence. Such an important piece for our eventually development into a contender. One of these days he's going to become a regular.

You can't spell SOIR without Brisebois.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!
Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
Brisbois in the Canucks transaction reports for years and years without really making an impact at the NHL level reminds me of the decade, it seemed like, where there would be a biannual mention of Leif Rohlin. A perfect Vancouver name. Imagine the fun Shorty could have had announcing Leif Rohlin with 4:20 left to play.

You get the annual reminder during Fall season when the wind starts blowing and the Leif be Rohlin all over the yard, sidewalk and street gutters.
I love when Leaves get raked on TV, but not when I have to go outside to do it.
4:20 bucks I could pay some kid, I suppose, but they're lazy and entitled as shit these days and would never do any kind of manual labour.

I wonder if Myers starts the game a Canuck and ends up going home with Dallas?

I can't see Foote surviving this disaster. If they have a lot of younger guys next year I think a coach like Manny might be better suited.
The only HW the Canucks need

More like they keep Foote through the tank while they groom Malhotra to take the reins when the team is competitive again. Might be a while, though...Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 12:16 am I can't see Foote surviving this disaster. I don't see Foote getting the can soon. He's good with the kids - and the team is full of them - and expectations are ground-floor in a tank. He just has to keep morale and discipline up while they endure the losses to make sure they don't pick up bad habits. That said, unless he turns a corner in terms of player deployment and systems that make them more competitive when the core is assembled, I can see him getting canned as soon as they're competitive.
Some coaches are just primed to take on tanks and rebuilds as opposed to actually winning games. The good ones manage to find the balance of developing and teaching them to play the right way while managing the losses and expectations. Green was pretty good that way. Willie... not so much. Foote could be one of the better options in that regard.
That said, if Malhotra's career arc maintains then he would be a good organizational option for when the team has a core and is getting competitive again. Will he stay in Abby that long before he gets poached???

They need to surround youth with some push back/Luke Schenn types.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
Watching the likes of Bichsell out there throwing Rossi around in a scrum last night was cringe-inducing. Especially-so when the guy management picked a couple spots earlier has yet to bust half a dozen NHL goals in his career to-date and is on the shelf yet again with a bo-bo-owie.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 6:26 am They need to surround youth with some push back/Luke Schenn types.

D. Petey tries out there, but he's overmatched these days. Maybe he'll get there. Outside of him, is there anybody in the lineup who would scare anyone in the crease?
Time for more testosterone and truculence in the lineup. Even just 2-3 more players who can skate and have the ability/desire to destroy people out there - they don't have to have much in the way of hands as long as they can make a play or two and play their role in the system - would make a world of difference.
Make visitors dread playing Vancouver for once.
