Positive Shit

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

That's gotta be a huge boost! Will they be able to find 1000 people?
They will be moving here from other locations. Hell, in this town you would be hard pressed to get a 1000 people that know how to turn a computer on -

I probably should have called it a smaller town as opposed to a small town. But still, it takes 5 minutes to get to anywhere in town from my place - so it is fairly small
The Olds metropolitan area is massive. There's a Boston Pizza and a Walmart

These outfits are going to put in pollution plants to power their junk. The town of Olds would be foolish to allow that stinking power plant to be build. Id say beat it without them building clean energy generation to power it as well as feed the town some juice

Did you see this part of one of my posts:

This is from a press release about the project:

"The facility is proposed to be powered by a closed-cycle natural gas system designed to achieve low emissions. The power generation system would be self-supplied and not connected to the provincial electrical grid, reducing strain on public infrastructure while supporting operational reliability. The water system, a closed-loop design, would only require a single fill with less than 1% of the Town’s daily water consumption. Eliminating the need to draw continuously from the Town’s water system."

Also, Olds may be massive compared to Donalta, but it is still a small town.

I don't care about the emissions. I live on the opposite end of town and upwind of the proposed location (which just happens to be the field right behind Boston Pizza)

American golfer Anthony Kim, winner of 3 PGA tour events by age 26, member of a Ryder Cup winning in team in 2008 and ranked as high as #6 in the world, who then had his career derailed by mental health issues, an Achilles injury which morphed into depression, suicidal contemplations as well as drug and alcohol addictions, won his first tournament in 16 years, an LIV event in Adelaide.

He had to play a qualifier the prior week to even be in the field.

He also healthily outplayed two of the top 10 players in the world, Bryson DeChambeau and John Rahm on his way to victory.

He is clean, sober has a wife, a daughter and a resurrected life.

The power to change from within.
