Hockey East has suspended Boston University's Sacha Boisvert and UMass Lowell's Connor Eddy an additional two games for their fight during this past Friday's game.

Boisvert and Eddy were called for roughing penalties at 9:10 of the second period. Immediately upon getting out of the penalty box, the pair dropped their gloves and paired off for a full-fledged fight.

Fighting majors result in automatication ejections and one-game suspensions, which they served Saturday, which was a 3-0 BU win.

“What took place on the ice Friday at Agganis Arena was entirely unacceptable and has no place in college hockey,” said Steve Metcalf, Hockey East Commissioner.

Boisvert, a first-round NHL pick and sophomore transfer from North Dakota, is third on the team with 14 points in 16 games. He will miss a pair of crucial games against Providence next weekend, and can return Jane. 30 against Boston College.

Eddy is a senior who has 3-3—6 in 22 games this season.

Boisvert is a first-round pick of the Black Hawks.
