It really does not matter what has occurred today and as this continues countries will just get tired and pay lip service to Trump to pacify his ego but quietly work in the background on plan B & C.

Although I am not a lawyer or constitutional scholar, it seems pretty clear to me that the law is against Trump on this one. If the SCOTUS actually stuck to their declared principles of Textualism and the Major Questions doctrine, it would be a slam dunk.

The only reason it is in doubt is that they have shown a pronounced inclination to be extremely deferential to executive authority while Trump has been in office.
