Ryan Roobroeck - 6'4 C, Canadian kid, ranked anywhere from #2 - #23 depending on the source
Viggo Bjork - 5'10 C/RW, Swede, ranked #4 - #22
Tynan Lawrence - 6'0, C, Canadian, ranked #2 - #13
We have a few Viggo equivalents, I'd be inclined to take him later in the first.
Lawrence will be interesting as he just joined a solid BU team so he may not get playing time and likely will be playing there full time next season. Put up good numbers in the USHL though.
Roobroeck I don't know a ton abut but like his size, doesn't have a ton of PIMs so not sure if he uses much of it.

'Not getting injured by contact with other players' is making tremendous and effective use of size.

Where is that from?
Is that the new standard of physicality? Not getting injured by contact with other players?
Although still an upgrade on the majority of this team now.

That's just me. Sorry that my punctuation choice made it look like I was quoting someone with a more authoritative opinion.
I based my conclusion on the career trajectory of EP40. I know the majority position here is that most of the problem is mental. I don't know that it isn't. But I think that there is a substantial chance that his physical abilities have been eroded by what seem like relatively minor injuries.
So is this McKenna/Stenberg draft the winger equivalent to the Modano/Linden draft where neither were generational, but both were very good? One player is more skilled and the other has more leadership and grit. In that case it turned out the more skilled player had more team success and a better overall career.

I think that is a good comparison actually. Was there a wildcard like Verhoeff though in that draft? A possible Hedman is nothing to sneeze at either.
Curtis Leschyshyn went #3 that year, not a Verhoeff type of player if memory serves but it's not like we're getting a carbon copy of that draft anyway.
We've created a little bit of a gap between 31st and 32nd, four points behind Winnipeg and five behind Calgary.
We'll probably need it, tankathon has Calgary with the 4th-toughest schedule remaining and the Jets not far behind at #9 while we have a relatively easy run at #23.
Hopefully the Ducks get it together before we play them again (3 games remaining) and we can lose our head-to-heads with the Flames and Jets (3 of those remaining too) in regulation.
