“The ice surface, it looks like it’s going to be smaller than NHL rink standards [by] it looks like three or four feet,” he [Pete DeBoer] said. “I don’t understand how that happened.”
Cirelli is a Cooper player and most likely gets the Nepobaby nod to go. Old man Stone is starting to show his age but something tells me Cooper gives him the nod, I believe in the end they’ll regret the decision to bring Stone. He stunk at 4 nations. Marner sucks, and outside of the “McDavid” goal, he wasn’t good at 4 Nations.
IMO, Marner and Konecny will be dumped for one of:
Wilson
Celebrini
Bedard
Scheifele
Johnston
Suzuki
Horvat
I think Wilson is a lock and the final battle will be between the rest but Celebrini is the favourite. Bedard may knock one of Jarvis or Cirelli out. It’s a tough decision, certainly. I worry about Point and Bennett’s games this season. Will they get it together?
Italians. They're not very organised, but they make great food.
I love to go there on holidays, but I would hate to live there.
Somehow they'll get it sorted, so there will be a tournament. But apparently they managed to build a rink with NHL width (more narrow than the IIHF standard) and IIHF length (slightly shorter than the NHL standard), so it'll be the tiniest rink ever used in an international tournament.
And it's probably too late to try to fix it now.
‘the smaller Aegean islands’ means any islands in the Aegean Sea except the islands of Crete and Evia.
The defence stays the same. I thought Chychrun and Schaefer had a chance but they decided to stick with the same group. Surprised by the cutting of Bennett but not surprised. Jarvis unfortunately for injury, I think he would’ve made it if not injured. Konecny I felt looked out of place at Four Nations and so not surprised by him not making the cut.
Curious if Bedard was going to make the team if he wasn’t injured
