Muzac For Munsters

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Nice performance by Jeff Tweedy on Colbert this week playing a tune from his recent solo album which is purty good. The drummer is Jeff’s kid, in fact his backing band are his kids friends. What a good dad

Speaking of Heres Johnny.

For Corns Eyes Only (because the rest of you reprobates wouldn't understand...except Topper) by a far to unsung punk band from back in the day

A Stiff Little Fingers cover/adaptation of a Marley tune...Johnny Was...followed by 2 of their more "commercial" - lofl - releases Alternative Ulster and Suspect Device.

Tune in with your AM coffee for 15 minutes of fun Corn.

Released this date 1973 featuring appearances by all the Beatles (Lennon, Harrison & Starr played on I'm the Greatest...the closest thing to a Beatle reunion until Anthology arrived) as well as members of The Band and others.

RINGO

My favourite from the album, It Don't Come Easy, with George Harrison on guitar, Klaus Voormann on bass and Gary Wright (Dreamweaver, My Love is Alive) on piano.

Ringo sang lead and played drums.

Pete Ham and Tom Evans from Badfinger laid down backing vocals.

In my opinion this is the best performance by a guy and just his acoustic guitar

Interesting - I was thinking, "I wonder if this is a Neil Young clip..."

Last time I saw Young was at the QE and it was all acoustic, just he, a chair and maybe a half dozen guitars on stands surrounding him.

Very intimate and pure.

Problem with shows like that is the wads who, upon recognition of the song in the first few notes, feel the urge to scream and whistle (or in the middle of the song, mid jean creaming perhaps), I guess to show everyone they have heard Neil Young before, and you end up missing portions, at times integral ones, of the tune.

I'd rather hear Neil than some bull honk yelling like Willie Mitchell after a victory over the Minnesota Wild.

It's what I paid for at least.

Always pisses me off that.

Scream like a Bitch once the song ends, fill your boots....

I saw him on likely the same tour. But in Vegas.

People at the bar just wouldn't shut up.

At one point, he said, "This is new one, so you can just keep talking".

Could been a great show.
