The "playoff realm". Do they get badges, ribbons and robes and shit like that"......?

I can see Quennville saying "hey guys you're in the realm now"

And five teams are already locked in.

The road to the playoffs is littered with the carcasses of many a young team that come out of the gates hard and burn out down the stretch

There's a reason many established vets don't get going til after Christmas then go on to be dominant when games matter the most.

Utah have been brewing for a couple seasons now, they are a little further along than Anaheim but Anaheim has brought in some cagey vets to insulate the kids, who ain’t so much kids anymore - Carlsson, Gauthier, McTavish, LaCombe, Mintyukov, Zellewegger etc. The Ducks also have Sennekke and McQueen cooking.

Chicago is probably a good year or two away, San Jose longer but the Blackhawks are a very good young team with a really good prospect pool - Frondell, Moore, Lardis, Korchinski, Boisvert. The way it looks for the future of the Western Conference - Utah, Anaheim, Chicago and San Jose are poised to be top dawgs in due time. Seattle, another young WC team, too have a very good prospect pool, looks like the stole a player in Jake O’Brien. Seattle is playing good hockey, right now. Interesting times in the WC. A transitional period. The changing of the guard maybe in its early stages with the Canucks holding down the middle, but you can see it coming, the new crew.

Where did the pick come from to draft Dylan Guenther? His team is now in the realm.

With an already deep pipeline the Hawks will be drafting twice in the first round in 2026 thanks to the Seth Jones trade, a trade that also gave them a very good young goalie in Spencer Knight, drafted 13th OA in the 2019 draft. That’s how you trade veterans on stupid giant sized contracts. The hawks are retaining 26% of Jones contract.

Sandin Pellika - 18:36 mins per game - 1 goal 3 assists. He’s been paired with Simon Edvinsson all season.

My guess is doubtful.

Seems like Ovie may finally be slowing down.

He looks really heavy these days.

A life time of Subway, Doritos, M&M's and a beer hits hard at 40.

Of course now I've said the he'll rip off a 12 in 20 spurt....

Binnington lol...

Yeah - at least 4 more 25-goal seasons? 5 - 20-goal seasons?

And what a dick move from Binnginton.

Ovie would have at least another 50 + goals if not for two work stoppages.

Its early yet and he ended up with 44. I hope he can do it.

Apparently, he has really struggled with the all-important defensive side of the game.

Pretty commonplace comment regarding a fresh faced D in the show.

Was that not the scouting report on the Standing-Pelican that caused him to drop down the rankings?

I was happy with the Willander pick because what he lacked in overall offensive game, his overall skill and upside seems to be better.

Remember, Don, we were choosing between him and Willander. Both come as advertised so far.
