Labate is pretty tough too.Kenji wrote: ↑Mon Oct 20, 2025 10:34 am Labate is at least a center and showed pretty well at camp. PDG has merits as a winger but I guess Raty is ahead of him.
I’d just as soon see what the Abby line can do with a bit more responsibility, the chemistry is palpable. Karlsson is a devious offensive forward.
I’ve not heard of this defenceman at all. Is he to play or watch from the stands?

Yeah they’ve been long rumoured to be in the hunt for a centreman. Not sure we are a fit for them.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Mon Oct 20, 2025 7:27 pmMontreal is looking for a 2nd line centreman as well. Doubt they would create a hole there, by trading Dach - for a winger or defenseman.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Mon Oct 20, 2025 7:10 pm Canuck scouts have caught the last 2 habs games which could mean they've got their eye on someone. Kirby Dach?
He is just another knee injury waiting to happen anyway.

Well, not to state the obvious, but the Canucks need a 2C, another energy asshole (Hoglander), and someone who fights.
The fighter is for games like the last one, where the team is out of energy and a good tilt might add some to our bench..
Gonna be a long season with snoozers like that Nashville game.

They also need to hang on to their draft picks and top prospects.
If EP40 doesn't turn it around by Christmas Allvin can start inquiring about Hughes deals.
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it

The offence is saved!
He has 4 points in 5 games so far this season. Both his goals were in the same game, in fact 3 of his 4 points were in that game.

So you're saying that JR/PA just ripped Chicago off by sending them a 4th rounder for a player who is potentially a 246 point player?
Plan the fucking parade.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
Ok interesting.
What I see based on stats:
A young C who hasn't wow'd of late, whose development may have stalled in the shadows of their more celebrated young C's before Bedard then Nazar... his numbers were climbing then they coincidentally plateaued with the role reduction. This is represented by share of possible icetime percentages from moneypuck:
2021-21.6%
2022-27.2%
2023-23.4%
2024-19.7%
2025-16%
https://moneypuck.com/player.htm?p=8482117
Zero power play or PK time on the board. Good expected GF%. Terrible in the dot.
I recall seeing a quick forward who was good at moving pucks around the O zone and off the rush.

Looks like we get to send down an Abby player…
Now there is only 6 of them left.

Tidy bit of business for Allvin. Fourth-round pick is about right for a 23 year-old former 17th-overall pick. The kid can produce in stints. Maybe all he needs is a good development and coaching staff??

Farhan Lalji
@FarhanLaljiTSN
Allvin suggests that Chytil has been making progress but still needs to go through the protocol and hasnt been cleared.
2-3 weeks for Lekkerimäki
Forbert had a setback and is week to week.
Allvin says a lack of practice time also a challenge to get these guys.
Blueger is now on IR and is week to week.
So internal help is in low supply for the forward group. The addition of the German should help but does nothing to upgrade centre. This is a type of low risk high reward potential. We’ve had our share of reclamation projects that haven’t panned out. We are due, no?
Oh and on giving up a 4th rounder in 2027, from the Province:
Specifically, the Canucks traded the Blackhawks' own 2027 fourth-round pick back to them. It was originally acquired from the Blackhawks in return for Ilya Mikheyev and a second-round pick — a cap dump trade at the time
