Hit on Chytil
IMO, it was not a major but it was late. Should have been a 2 minute penalty.

Yeah, first time I have seen it and I'm gonna go ahead and disagree theman.
It's a bang bang hockey hit.
Situational awareness.
Chytil has to:
1 - be aware of his own history and have his GD head up..always
2 - know that Wilson is out there, what he is capable of and have his head on a swivel
3 - not admire his passes especially cutting into the middle of the ice in the neutral zone...this is pro hockey for ffs
This is a potentially team altering event for the season if he is out long term as he is forcing his GM's hand just when the team was buying Management some leeway via improved play combined with Edmonton and LA's struggles.

Don’t disagree with any of that, I just think it was a bit late. Minor penalty only.donlever wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 4:14 pm Chytil has to:

IF it was our guy doing the hitting, we'd be ecstatic!
It could have gone either way, and the refs, should have leaned towards the 2-minute penalty, as things could have spiraled out of control quickly.
Sucks that it was Chytil, and I was hoping for a "leave him out a bit on the side of caution" - but when he didn't return, I figured he must have damaged his eggshell head. I didn't see any contact to the head, so just the force of the hit broke his brain. Tough luck, but as others have said, "keep your head up" - especially if you're prone to concussions.

Well, that didn't work out, did it?
Any updates on these guys, including Boeser?

I'd say draw or leaning towards Duhaime. He got that hammer loose and connected with some bombs as it came to an end
Henry got the best early shots though

We were saying here, that, that hit on Chytil, was only marginally sooner than Rome's hit on Horton.
Should have been a 2 min interference penalty on both.

Yah, I thought we'd get like 30-40 games out of him before he went down again. Typical Nucks luck for us, he was prob our best forward out of the gate to as well.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Oct 19, 2025 10:26 am Geez, poor Chytil just can't avoid contact. He's like a magnet out there.
If he's out long-term, wouldn't mind if the Nucks circle back on Roslovic. Heard the Oil might be in a pickle as Hyman is expected to be back soon. Maybe we can get the Roslo-Dood for like a 4th round pick.
Nice to see Karlsson step up and go after Wilson, kinda of an unexpected guy to do that.
Petey looking like the next Guy Carboneau.
Yah, Foote has to take some responsibility on that one too. Kaner is not known for being a good defensive player, why would Foote put him out in that situation? I know we were down 2 forwards and all, but still.
Just hope it's not another close family member who's sick again. We all know how long it took for Brockstar to get over the death of his father. Just don't want to see him get into a funk again, depressed and not enjoying the game.
