Another one bites the dust

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Cool you met her.

91 is a decent run out.

Going for 97 myself but I'd take 91 if offered up today.
I'll take that, too - and keep in mind she enjoyed her whiskey along the way.

Moody Blues bass guitarist and co lead singer John Lodge passed away today at the age of 82.

A snippet from the CC history machine for the edification of all.

At the old board, waaayyy back in the day, Doc posted a snippet designating a knight/night analogy within the parameters of his post.

In response a very new(bie) and green Topper dropped a Knights in White Satin post to which Stranglelove responded positively.

....and an on line friendship was born.

She was great in The Godfather (like the rest of the cast) - and was able to keep up with Pacino, for sure.

“Who’s sexier, me or Steve Martin?” asked Martin Short, to which Diane Keaton quipped: “I mean, you’re both idiots.”

Annie Hall all the way for me, her best role.

I was told that KISS stood for Knights in Satan's Service

Fucking religion. Everyone knows that prepositions aren't used in acronyms.

It's a nice Urban Legend but I don't think so 5th.

This is more what I heard as a kid and over the years.

According to Paul Stanley, the band's name was chosen because the word "kiss" was universal and could be recognized worldwide as well as incorporated into different meanings, such as "kiss of death" or "kiss of passion". The letters do not stand for anything, and the rumor that it stood for "Knights in Satan's Service" has long been denied by the band.

In summary the band got its name from a suggestion by Stanley in 1973 after drummer Peter Criss mentioned he was in a band tagged Lips.

Ace Frehley created the lightning-bolt-shaped "SS" in the logo.

The name itself wasn't an acronym, and Stanley chose it because the word "kiss" was universal in descriptive options as noted above.
