Doyle has been a long time big time fan of Timmins. He had some promise in the beginning but concussions got in the way.

Doyle liked Ryan Stanton and Connor Timmins at 1,5 million over
.......,,,,,
Luca and "The Guds" (dumber nickname I've never heard) at 8 million.

Same calibre of player but there must be a corn husk stickng out of a fat guys arse. Never change.... Kapil is proud.

Did you know that Guds has played 357 NHL games since being let go by the Canucks. He’s played a total of 805 NHL games

Sbisa - 549 NHL games
Timmins - 159 NHL games
Stanton - 120 NHL games

He is a short term option. Dude is 32, and has played a lot of wing the past 8 years. He is the trade a GM makes if he is panicking.

The Nuge is in that Brenden Morrison category. Overpaid , overhyped but fair…good enough…middle of the road. These types don’t stir the drink. Hard pass

For Demko, RNH isn’t the return I’d be looking for - I agree he’s overhyped.
Giving the Coilers someone that might legitimately win them a cup should cost more than that.
Send him back east to CBJ for a centre.

CBJ needs Goaltending, I’m seeing a fit there, they have the assets to deal. I’d ask for centre Cayden Lidstrom. Sillinger is plateauing, bank it on Lidstrom having a higher ceiling. He’s a giant and we need more giants.

Maybe I haven't been reading the tea leaves correctly but fans seem to be placing more faith in Silvos upside than management is....

Management and in paticular Ian Clark know where Demko is in his health and training ...

Management knows where Demko is in his contract demands...

Management knows what the market is for all of their goalies and in paticular Demko...

If I took a guess, their timeline would be Demko to Young / Medveded...

I think it would take a very strong offer for them to move off that prefered timeline and deal Demko, certainly better than what you are proposing...

As for giants, will be interesting if Safonov signs in Vancouver after refusing to sign in Chicago...did he attend any of the Black Hawk development camps?

Curious to see him and Ravinski in development camp next week...

Take care...

If they think he can manage it at centre, I wonder if Vancouver management wouldn't target Kent Johnson. He's more a winger than centre, but has played that position before. That said, I don't think trading Demko is the best option from an internal optics (ie-what would Quinn think?) and an overall team competitiveness aspect. I love Silovs, but I would feel better going into the next season with Demko as the starter vice a platoon of Lankinen and Silovs.

As for an apt spot for Silovs, I wonder if Utah is happy rolling out Vejmelka on the regular? If management can sell Silovs as a potential starter or tandem with Vejmelka to Utah, I wonder what else it would take (if anything) to land McBain? Wonder what it would take to land Hayton, then?

If he gets Tocchet's nod of approval, I wonder what kind of return a Silovs-centred trade with Philly would net? Cates doesn't move the needle much, and Luchanko is still a year or two away from being an NHL player.

There are only so many reasonable options for 2C on the trade market, unless management does something truly radical.

You’re not going to land a big fish for Silovs but you could land a centre prospect like Luchanko out of Philly, (prospect for prospect), in which I don’t think they should balk at. They just acquired a centre in Zegras and drafted one in Nesbitt. They have some depth there.

Regarding Utah? Silovs for centre prospect - Desnoyers?

Might be Teenage Mutant Ninja Hertle being moved out of Vegas to clear cap space if they sign Marner. He’s been playing 2C in Vegas and would be the best name I’ve heard if the Canucks could get him - less than 6m a year as the Sharks are retaining his salary.
