I don't want to go overboard with one great playoff run. But, what the hell, I'm gonna go overboard and say Kuds might just be right up there with D.Petey and Willander as our best prospects on D. OK, he may not be there yet but this guy's so sneaky good he just might sneak into that conversation within a few years. I saw echos of Forsling, minus the speed of course, but the smarts all over the ice was very very apparent..AND he's strong as an ox and played like it outmuscling a lot of Checkers off the puck. As a defender he anticipates the play extremely well to know when and where to break up plays. Also demonstrates a lot of poise with the puck putting it in the right/safe areas often when pressured..something many young defenders have trouble with. Arty and Karlsson deserve the most accolades but Kuds sneakily stole the show for me.
As for cracking the opening roster. Probably not only because of the depth ahead of him, but there's nothing wrong with that. I've made it known how much I hate this franchise rushing young players in. We can totally afford to slow cook Kuds.
